    It's BACK!!

I think he wants to see it in it's current state which IS impressive but only because of how it compares to other recovered stolen firearms. I'm happy to have it back but I probably won't be quick to restore it. This happened while I have too many other (bigger) irons in the fire.

    It's BACK!!

It's on my phone and I only know how to get it off by email and my data is used up.

    It's BACK!!

That Beretta 92 that was stolen. I picked it up yesterday. It DID need to be cleaned but not as bad as it sounded. But the finish was more then a little messed up and the rubber grip has been worn down. What's more, although the gun seams to be in working shape, the double action is messed up. Inspection indicates that one of the hands it's been through tried unsuccessfully to convert it to full-auto. It LOOKS like I'll be able to fix it though as the only part damaged is the trigger link. One thing that makes me a little nervous is that the automatic slide release had been taken out. I can make another one pretty easy but I'm a little nervous about the story of how it disappeared and all. One other problem is that the front sight had been removed. Why is as much as mystery to me as anyone. Anyway, I'm going to have to take it out shooting here soon, after I order a new trigger link and front sight.

I can see him threatening to discipline his kid when he grows up, "HAY!! You knock it off or you're gonna face Orion's belt!"
  6. He's a big fan of Ron Paul. Allot of old school liberals have sort of buddied up with the real hard core conservatives in the aftermath of the patriot act which; in the eyes of many liberals, proved what hardline conservatives have been warning about for years prior. On gun control in particular, when Penn and Teller made their episode on gun control and Suzanna Hupp gave her now famous speech on gun control allot of liberals got the attitude of, "Blowing Bambie's brains out with an AK47 I can't understand. Protecting ourselves against government abuse makes sense." Allot of Liberals have since turned libertarian themselves, realizing that it's the only "live and let live" political philosophy that actually gets you the intended results. Using a couple thumpers for tear gas seams kinda silly. But his point is otherwise valid.
  7. I like the original better but thank you for sharing.
  8. I dunno. He's a nice guy and all but there's some things about him that make me wonder. And I'm not sure he'd be very quick to take me up on a shooting trip either. Seams a little paranoid. Plus, he'll probably just say he was a sniper a long time ago and forgot (he's in his 50s) which is unlikely but possible. And I am the king of unlikely things being the truth and being misjudged as result, so I have a moral responsibility to give people the benefit of the doubt under such circumstances, lest I justify all the times I myself have been misjudged. So basically, unless I want to REALLY get nosy there is little chance I am going to prove him full of beans. Even though I give him the benefit of the doubt, I don't actually believe him.
  9. I have a neighbor who told me he was a sniper in the military. I have no proof that he's BSing me but throughout the time I've known him I've heard him make some very basic errors in firearm lingo, such as calling a magazine a clip and the like and; despite several opportunities to do so, I've never heard him mention anything real about precision shooting. In fact, he acts like someone with little to no experience with firearms at all. Then again. He's just someone who seams to enjoy telling tall tails. Going to the extreme of dressing up as a military vet at any formal occasion or make any serious effort to convince people he's a vet seams humorously extreme for him. The guy in that video is silly. Quick note. It's not a very good idea to go threatening people who just spent 2 years killing guys with AK-47s.
  10. I waited 2 years for my Addax ZK. I'm glad I did. Then again, they never stopped communicating with me. Every mm of that thing was built to perfection and I had little chance of getting another HQ AR15. And that model has been discontinued after a very short production life, so now it's a collectors item. Unfortunately, it seams that quality AR15s and parts often come with a waiting list. Believe it or not, the really long waits can be caused chiefly by quality control issues as was the case with Addax. Getting people to make parts for these guns correctly can apparently be quite difficult and time consuming as you don't know they've messed up until the order is complete which can take months to fulfill. I have never heard of this company before, so I have no idea what to do about the situation.
  11. LOL. I have to agree that it was pretty decent. I still like Wreck it Ralph and Tangled more though.
  12. LOL. "Once again combines the looks of a professional porn star with the acting of an amature porn star."
  13. I've been avoiding this, thinking it probably wouldn't be that great. But I finally gave in and watched it yesterday and couldn't stop laughing the whole way through. The music parodies in the 2nd half in particular I think will have most people here on the floor. Check it out!
  14. Oh, man. That's a protective father's wet dream. That's when you let HIM arrange so that there are no witnesses, then; once you see that he's done a good job of it, meet him in place of your daughter. My principal is that you don't deserve to be treated any better then you treat others. End of story. It's nice to see some people are still raising their kids to respect women.
  15. Funny how the least dangerous and nonthreatening weapon they acquired in that program is the one everyone's up in arms about. That's kinda like me going to a gun store, buying a pepper spray, AR-15, 1911 and Benelli SBE and my family and friends flipping out over the pepper spray.
  16. Every time I hear people talk like that, I ask them, "How did YOU treat other's daughters and how are YOU encouraging your son to treat other people's little girls?" If you treated women with dignity and were a good boyfriend and son in-law and have encouraged your son to do the same, then you have room to talk and get angry. But if you WERE going around treating people's daughters the way fathers fear and/or encourage/d your son to do the same, then you deserve the hardship of having it done to your daughter. Your daughter may not deserve it, but YOU do. So; that be the case, protect your daughter but don't go getting too upset when it's your turn to pay the piper. What goes around comes around.
  17. Never underestimate the power of the plunder blender.
  18. You guys should also check out the new Honest Action series (same makers) that explain what injuries would REALLY happen to people in movies; humorously using 1980s video game sound effects. It's surprisingly funny. Die Hard Home Alone
  19. LOL. My personal favorites were Skyrim (Video game), Transformers 2, Home Alone and Lord of the Rings. Lord of the Ring had me laughing and squirming so hard it actually hurt my back. That might be one of the best laughs I ever had. I'll Share all those links below for the rest of you so you won't have to hunt for them. Skyrim (Video Game) Top Gun Home Alone Transformers 2 Star Wars: Phantom Menace Star Wars: Attack of the Clones The Lord of the Rings: Fast 5 And just a couple bonuses for those of you in to games, the God of War review was drop dead funny as was the Final Fantasy 7 one, though it DOES have allot of inside humor to it. God of War Final Fantasy 7
  20. Honest trailers is a drop dead funny youtube series of movie and video game trailers that make fun of or have fun with the movie/game. Here's one they did on Robo Cop. I am surprised to say I think Mr. Robobot will agree with this 100%
  21. No. For just gluing stuff together, I use several different glues depending upon the task and materials, mainly gorilla glue, industrial super glue and en-6000. For anything that demands bulk, I try to use stuff from the fiberglass world My personal favorite is epoxy resin mixed with various materials; depending upon the task. For less demanding applications I use bondo all purpose resin and the PC resins sold at Ace Hardware. If I wanted to glue sights on the slide of a gun, I'd use gorilla glue. JB weld will just chip right off. JB weld and other, similar resins and putties get their strength by filling space between components, making the shape of components and the jb weld hold each other together. That's why the people who advertise is are always showing demos of it's strength on uneven and rough surfaces like concrete, screws, bolts etc. For something to stick to a solid, smooth and unbreathing surface, it has to have a permanent stickiness in it's texture, suction or be able to spread variably over a surface. Gorilla glue has all 3 features. I've never used 2P10 before so I can't say anything good or bad about it.
  22. jb weld is junk. Most epoxies and resins I use are considerably stronger.
  23. It sure looks that way. But I also got a sense that they were whispering for help whenever possible and deliberately cluing that things were not OK. "We have the finest in health care and medicine. BTW, can I bum an aspirin off you?"
  24. Someone on another board shared this guys youtube channel with me. This guy visits different countries on tour packages and video records his visits and compiles them in to documentary-like video sets. This set is his visit to North Korea. It's educational and funny but also pretty sad. Check it out!!
  25. Mounting those sights on the side of a Beretta 92 is going to be tricky
