  1. I've always been partial to the Moto Guzzis, since the PD had them here when I was a kid. Their current Griso 8V SE is cool. The Monster from a few years back was sweet!
  2. Cool! Thanks, Rene!
  3. That's pretty much what my first loading experience was like. Now, when using a new bullet type, I back out the seating stem and then incrementally seat the first round until the desired Over All Length (OAL) is reached. The second round gets measured, to ensure that the incremental seating on the first one wasn't a fluke. I'm digging my Lee Hand Press! Can sit around sizing and depriming while doing just about anything, even move on to flaring pistol brass mouths. Nice to not have to be chained to the bench.
  4. Whoa! Benelli Tornado…36,000euros!!
  5. Awesome!
  6. "Safetyless" is a misnomer. "Active-safetyless" may be more accurate. The Glock system has the trigger-block safety, a striker block safety which is moved when the trigger is squeezed, and the striker rests in a partially cocked position too. IMMEDIATELY below the information on the "Hammer Down" postition, on page 12 in the owner's manual for the Browning 1911-22 it states: DO NOT CARRY OR STORE THE PISTOL WITH A LOADED CARTRIDGE IN THE CHAMBER. Further down on page 13 under "Half-cock" position: DO NOT CARRY OR STORE THE PISTOL WITH THE HAMMER IN THE HALF-COCK POSITION. So yes, hammer down on an empty chamber, which is how Browning always recommends it be carried…empty chamber. That locks you into Condition 3 for carry. http://www.sightm1911.com/Care/1911_conditions.htm
  7. In diameter. Remember, when you cold work metal it flows, so it has to move molecules somewhere.
  8. Oohhh…THAT M92! <laughs> Nope, not a clue on that!
  9. Who's this?
  10. They should drop them in White Fence and let them brag about being a military hero.
  11. http://www.tickld.com/funny/t/682376
  12. <laughs> <lmao> You say that like you thought something changed?
  13. Welcome aboard the board from AZ safado! The Armalite dudes will be along in awhile. We meet here in AZ a few times a year…be nice if you can make it to one or all!
  14. I agree with WTF?! You're already IN the Coast Guard. THAT'S not enough for you? You have to claim to be something you are not?
  15. Motorbikes? Or do you mean Italian motorbikes?
  16. Nope. We're running a PT92 with a IR laser mod on the simulator though. I can see why the DAO versions weren't around long.
  17. They're on full assault mode brothers! This nation of laws is about to make a nation of outlaws.
  18. This was a good way to start the day:
  19. You can thank the USMC for that!
  20. Interesting about the laser times diminishing. IMO/E, most laser lore is mythology. People don't see laserbeams slicing through the air and landing on their chest. They don't make people more accurate. In low light or darkness lasers don't illuminate your target for positive identification. While they are a good tool for people to learn trigger control and sight alignment, it only works if it is aligned with the sights when they are aligned. Most from the factory are WAY off. S&W does a roving tour with their current production lineup for retailers who are interested. The local Sportsman's Warehouse usually signs up, and uses the range in Marana for the shoot. El Señor .357 Magnum picked up that 340PD and loaded 5 rounds of some HOT .357 Magnum loads in it. First round…BLAM!! Open the revolver, take out the other 4 rounds, put in some .38 Special. From what he said, that .460 Magnum is a treat compared to the 340PD.
  21. I've spoken with a couple of people that have broken cast iron presses. Not many when you consider the millions that are out there. A few years back, RCBS got busted getting their Rockcrushers cast in China and machined in the USA. Lots of people unhappy about that…and I don't blame them. I've snapped plenty of the Harbor Freight stuff…don't know why a press would be different (from China, that is).
  22. I'd like to try it but THAT isn't something we can do at Marana…with the airport traffic pattern overhead and all.
  23. .357 Magnum right here: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_764939_-1_757768_757767_757751_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y
  24. Sweet!
  25. Ever seen cast iron snap? Besides underneath your truck on the Interstate at 90mph?
