  1. I don't know shepp. We were giggling like choir boys with that Slidefire up in Casa Grande. Maybe they should just quit restricting fun.
  2. Like the diesels everyone builds for everywhere but the USA. Volkswagen Rabbits were getting 50mpg decades ago with small diesel engines. More smoke blown up our butts.
  3. We may as well make it official... Tom NEEDS this!!!
  4. Looks good! I may be paranoid (okay...I am paranoid) but I store my primers in another room, away from the powder and only take out what I need at a time.
  5. Welcome from Arizona BRD51!
  6. Happy weekend!
  7. 10-round mags? So it doesn't use the PT92 mags?
  8. I bought some round ball .45 awhile back. Some dudes on MO are loading those up for plinking and pest control. As one dude put it, "I fired the round. Then I made a sandwich for lunch while it was on it's way to the target." Supposed to be like a very quiet, very large BB gun out of a rifle. Supposed to be a couple of good loads like that in .38 also.
  9. Welcome Boerboel!
  10. Can we get these under class 3?
  11. Just put an ad on Craigslist: Unlicensed Body Painter needs practice, $25 off THIS WEEK ONLY!!!
  12. I don't know about their AR barrels but Mossberg makes a LOT of shotgun barrels, which people then market as their own product.
  13. Ha! Double..ha-ha!!
  14. Don't forget 'Zonies...our best flooding is historically in October!
  15. Doing my normal morning routine at the time...a 3 mile bicycle ride to Ft. Lowell Park, for a walk/run around the exercise course. On the way back to the house there was almost no traffic...like a Sunday morning. Odd for a busy Tuesday. Came in the house and there was one message on the answering machine from my Mom in Kentucky. All she had said was "Oh my God...are you watching this? I think I'm going to be sick." Turned on the t.v. and every station was news, talking heads speculating. When they finally came back to the live shot of the smoking WTC 1 and 2. In a few minutes the first building collapsed. Announcing that all air traffic had been grounded except CAPs, I knew my flight training for the day (shooting ILS approaches) was toast. That evening, instead of riding my bicycle out to the airport, I rode the Beemer. Almost the whole class was spent discussing the "What next" possibilities. We ended up being grounded for the next 2 1/2 weeks, even though regular air travel had resumed. During that time 85,000 or so ATP rated pilots were laid off...right at a point in my training where I was going to borrow $50k to complete the training. Being broke and unemployed was the better option over being hugely in debt and unemployed. What were you doing?
  16. Shooting off of the lead thread. Just found these while looking for the published .45 Colt Lil' Gun loads: http://www.handloads.com/articles/default.asp?id=5 Krikey! 350gr at 1204fps?!!? I'd like to get rolling on casting, as I have quite a bit of material to melt.
  17. Starting a different thread.
  18. No, not him. The NW Beaver Fighting Cage Match Champion.
  19. Easy, back in Kentucky there were ZERO good Mexican places when visiting as a kid. We would say "Too bad Taco John's isn't as good as Taco Bell." Now, due to the illegals moving up there, there are enough VERY good Mexican food places there that one won't starve.
  20. I couldn't help but wonder if the Remmy M4 contract was to offset that loss...
  21. Don't know why this reminded me of Robo!
  22. From a local Buffalo paper: http://www.buffalonews.com/business/new-york-gun-makers-in-a-squeeze-stay-or-go-20130907
  23. Where's the HiPower pics?!
  24. Oh no, not those tame loads ya'll shot. <laughs> Those were 300gr JHP over 18gr of Lil'Gun. Not positive off the top of my head but I want to say the max published Lil'Gun load on those is 20.3gr??? The 255s weren't bad at all really. No, seriously.
  25. That's funny Robo! When working corrections, lots of us used to stop in for the breakfast burritos at these places. My buddy stopped once at about 0430 in uniform...the staff locked the door and hid from him.
