  1. We have cottontails and jack rabbits here. Cottontails are way easier to sneak up onto IMO. Here they like pulling that "If I don't move they can't see me" crap. Our jack rabbits are big. Real big. Braggin' boards have lots of photos of young kids holding jacks almost as long as they are. Jon
  2. You definately came out ahead on that one! Now...what options are you getting on that Nighthawk? Jon
  3. I was going to buy one but they keep pushing the date back further and further. Nevermind SIG. Jon
  4. Is it the gas or diesel engine? Jon
  5. Yup. Best to prep it by tossing it in the trash and cooking a steak. Jon
  6. My choice was also Nighthawk Custom! Do something that keeps on giving to the cost...get a 10mm longslide. Then dies. And brass. Bullet moulds. Casting equipment. Another choice is the STI Perfect 10, a polymer 10mm 1911 pistol. Jon
  7. At first glance, that buffer looks like a chewed up penny. I don't know but if I had to guess, it looks like the buffer retainer pin isn't held as deep as it should be. Like the buffer is slamming into the larger diameter portion of that pin. Which seems like it would interfere with the boltcarrier travel as well. This uneducated guess has been brought to you by Kroger's Medium Roast Coffee and Orowheat homemade cinnamon toast. Jon
  8. Good to know! Jon
  9. How much do you want to spend? MRI makes or made a .17HMR on the 10/22 design, similar to the ones Tom has. My bro-in-law has a Marlin bolt-action .17HMR and it is one fun little cartridge! It shoots mighty flat, so aiming is easy. The downsides are ammo is now expensive and cleaning rods/attachments. Most universal cleaning kits come with .17 gear now. Jon
  10. Someone in the neighborhood has been feeding pigeons. Those things hump louder than elephants. They were on the stove's roof exhaust the other day...open palm on the range hood and they flew off. Jon
  11. I can't believe people pay for that crap in restaurants! Jon
  12. Who was that ol' dude gunsmith that was converting Garands to thumpin' stuff like .35 Whelen, .338 Win Mag, and ... .300 Winchester Magnum? Jon
  13. Heine doesn't (last I checked) make the Ledge model for the XD's. You can rack it easy enough on your shoe or holster. Jon
  14. I'm going to experiment carrying it around, versus the Liberty, and test people's reaction. Jon
  15. Wait until you find yourself operating on these hours in 5 years...just so you can have "Robo Time". :binkybaby: Jon
  16. lol Welcome to the Vortex Of Powder-Burned Cash Jon
  17. Robo...you're up early. <laughs> Jon
  18. Where's that? Out at the end of Speedway? Jon
  19. Don't sweat it...it isn't a "gap between the receivers". It's a "tactical credit card holder" for when you need more accessories immediately. Jon
  20. Just make it like "In The Wind" and we won't have to bother with those pesky words. Jon
  21. Our 10-year old knows what translucent means. Jon
  22. :threadjack: The bonds are unique. People you can't stand personally you trust with your life more than a fun good ol' boy. Jon
  23. The advances they've made in metalurgy in the past few decades is phenomenal! I remember the first time I saw one of the bicycles with top of the line components and oversized steel tubing, it was a couple of pounds lighter than the new carbon fiber with the same components. Crazy. Jon
  24. Bravo Company included a hat, and two of the Make Ready dvd's...Pat Rogers Tactical Carbine and Travis Haley Adaptive Carbine. And that was for just an upper receiver. Jon
