  1. BornOnFire, welcome from Tucson! Where we going shooting? Jon
  2. Instructing has it's privileges! <thumbsup> It's especially helpful on delivery days. <laughs> :fawkdance: Dude...just so you know, those binoculars looking back at you looking through binoculars...that was me! <laughs> Jon
  3. Sportsman's had quite a bit of American Eagle in different calibers today, also what would be a fair supply of .308 for a Ma & Pa shop. Jon
  4. Looked today before they even opened. Three 1-pound containers of powder. All different makes. One was a Vhitavouri. Funny...when they don't have stuff I want, I get something I want to try. Picked up a brass catcher! Jon
  5. Thanks guys! I'm also pissed that the color depiction of "goddess purple" on Lauer's website is much darker than the dried product. Tom's right on track with getting a quality spray set too. Jon
  6. If I'm putting out large sums of cash for a pistol-caliber carbine, I want it to say "Uzi". Jon
  7. Yeah, that's it! That's the ticket! Our roads are crappy because people are driving less, less tax money at $3.50/gallon, which explains also why traffic is backed up so much. They don't use the tax money they get now properly but more money is the solution. Jon
  8. Guessing you mean the bushpilots. Quite a few. Alaska has the highest number of airplane crashes of all the states and little surprise. Those dudes have some great stories of innovative thinking! Jon
  9. Cool! How many did you get? <lmao> Var-what? Oh...that's a powder that used to be available. They have a new powder taking up all that old powder space. It's called Dust. <laughs> I'm teaching this morning, if you want to drop in upstairs. They have RACKS full...FULL of those Voodoo double rifle cases!! Jon
  10. Who has seen what items creeping back onto shelves in your area or your favorite online retailer? It appears that some items are making a comeback here and there. Jon
  11. The one I picked up for the DPMS-style is beautiful! Like Robo said too. Jon
  12. This would've been cool too: Jon
  13. Nnoooo!! That's what came up on YouTube searching for "STOL". Besides...you don't search for "bush". You search for "hairy milf". <laughs> Jon
  14. I polled the girls...not what they wanted. I like the guys at Tucson Guns...stand up folks! Jon

    STOL

That's a whole lotta camping sites opening up right there! Jon
  16. Well... I HAVE had people on the back of the tandem complain about hot air. <lmao> Jon
  17. I got one of those around here somewhere. CRKT makes some nice knives! That locking mechanism on the Ignitor is pretty slick. Jon
  18. Good luck NoFail! What a kickass job! So we'll get special "test drive tours", right? <laughs> Jon
  19. A Leatherman for utility. These for everyday pocket carry by Schrade Jon
  20. On multiple levels. First off, I don't think Dura Coat does anything that Krylon or Testors can't do. Pricewise DC is probably a bit more than Testors oz to oz. I would suggest getting the thinner Lauer sells. The consistency of the two colors used was different, which I suppose should be expected. Now the painting. Waiting for it to get up to the recommended 68* or warmer, it finally hit the magic mark, so went outside and got everything ready. As the session started, so did the wind. Each day. Calm as can be until the air sprayer starts up, which apparently causes palm tree shaking wind to build. Next time (if there is one) I'll build a small booth or use the cat porch. The small parts came out screwed. They looked good after initially painting them, and a second coat also. It was easy to get all around them by putting them on shishkabob sticks stuck in the dirt...and almost invisible to fat blind people. Not so invisible to stick-chewing dogs. <dontknow> Once I found all the small parts again, they had dirt and plant material stuck on them. >:( At any rate, back to the different textures of the paint. The pink atomized much more than the purple, leaving a feel sort of like Parkerizing. The purple went on smooth and thick. At any rate, I'm done screwing around with it. Still need a charging handle...all the good ones seem to be out of stock. Jon
  21. I can relate. Pics to follow elsewhere. Jon
  22. Explaining concepts to people just got way easier! http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/this-could-be-big-abc-news/3-d-printing-revolution-gets-first-pen-173841593.html How many times have you tried drawing your idea for someone in three different views and they sit there nodding? You can even say "Honey, I would like you to get a dress like this...take your clothes off!" http://www.whosay.com/ditavonteese/photos/300776 <laughs> Jon
  23. Different technologies from different parts of the world. <laughs> Jon
  24. Tom just goes to the bike shop to take a break from the ARs. <laughs> Jon
  25. It isn't even anywhere close to being mentioned for an acadamy award. Think "B" movie. But lower quality with less fanfare. Jon
