  1. A lot of people do put stickers and advertise. Some people just advertise their dumbassery. Both are at fault here: Jon
  2. We've actually gone and broken out the BB and pellet guns. If it isn't critical use, I'm not shooting it. Jon
  3. That is a good read. As many of you may know, we dc'ed from the television except for dvd's. I can't believe this type of prepping is what is so popular. I thought it must be pretty stupid when that guy shot himself or his kid on "accident" on one of those shows. Reminds me of that Twilight Zone or Outer Limits where the guy goes into his bunker to avoid a nuclear war, turns out there was an accidental detonation and they bulldozed all the rubble onto his shelter and sealed him in. Jon
  4. Looks pretty cool! Jon
  5. I see surplus humvees for sale. What is this you are referring to? Jon
  6. A guy on another forum related that very experience, upon return from a hunting trip. Rolled his truck and trailer in an extreme situation and rifles, ammo, fishing tackle, and everything else was all over the place. Rifles and rods were busted up but insurance covered most of it. Jon
  7. Took my dimentia ridden Mom to Sky Harbor (PHX), who needed to be escorted the whole way back to Kentucky. They snaked my Swiss Army knife, the tinyest one they make...but let my Mom through with a dozen of my Grandfather's stainless steel dental tools. Igfcuks. Serrated. Some fat TSA dolt has been watching too many Ginsu steak knives infomercials, where they cut open the aluminum can. Jon
  8. <laughs> That's a real bummer Rene! I still don't understand why the regular sized condoms only cover half my pole and rip so much. 8) Jon
  9. Agreed. I'd take it a step further to say what is inventoried by the Army and air forces as well. Clinton was the one that signed the moratorium on civilian purchases of retired combat aircraft. Either we can be trusted or we can't. Jon
  10. Reinforces my "wall them all in" plan. If my understanding is correct, they primarily have control of the coastal urban areas in the PNW and the rest of the areas are still free. MagPul is stomping some ass on the public relations right now! Jon
  11. Most of my metal FAL mags I got from AIM Surplus, new S. Korean manufacture on sale. They were $15 each I believe. The polymers I got from RRA at $20 a piece. I'd looked at the Thermolds, which appear to be identical to the RRA mags. Glad I didn't use the Thermolds directly, as they appear to be gouging now. Jon
  12. Can have bad effects. Jon
  13. Jon
  14. That was cool! Looks like my truck needs a few mods for the next get together! Jon
  15. Hold onto that baby Hemi! The stock sights suck and can be improved upon greatly. If it feeds hollowpoints and SWCs you're ahead of the game. If not there are a few simple tweaks. <thumbsup> I forget the dude's cowboy persona now, but this one guy tricks out the Marlins to feed anything in any order. There is video of him cycling from the same magazine load all different profiles of bullets and empty cases too wtih no jams. Jon
  16. Ran out of brake cleaner. Here's before and after spraying most of the parts. While the can was out of cleaning fluid, there was plenty of air pressure left...so we hit it with the .68 caliber blowgun dart. First one went clean through, ripping off the cone. Jon
  17. Robo didn't take this photo! <laughs> Jon
  18. "It's okay...he doesn't know about your S&W Sigma!" <lmao> Jon
  19. A couple of archers were hunting near Yellowstone, bugling for elk. One heard a stick crunch behind him and turned around to see the bear they'd called in and mauled them both. Animals take stealth to a whole different level. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOLlos6lmVU I'd go with the .450 Bushmaster, 9-shots over 2,700ft.lbs. If I was in bear country. Jon
  20. Range was a bust with his rifle. Got up there and went through the controls with him, mounted the front MBUS, then opened the rear MBUS and the mounting screw was missing. :( On to the Burris. Pulled it out of the store bag and they had given him the AR132 instead of the -332. :rant2: So he was ready to head back to the store. :bat: Before leaving though, we ran a couple of mags through Liberty. :auto: Maybe early next week. Jon
  21. I usually hate those videos but it does show what a dumbass Biden is. Jon
  22. I have the same scope on my Freedom Machine (20"), in a GG&G one-piece base/rings setup. It is the only way to go! I would've gone with the Bobro so popular around here, but I got the triple G on clearance for $142. I also installed the MagPul PRS on Freedom Machine. You WILL need a buttstock extender kit to clear the charging handle. You will ALSO need to go get either a button head or hex head 1/4-28 x 2.1" screw to attach it. The screws with the extender is too short or too long, and the wrong type head. You will then need to vent it by drilling a hole down the center axis of the screw or a slot running the length of it. Non-vented makes just enough back pressure to cause FTEs very often. Jon
  23. I have the LAR-8s, 16" and 20". If you want the most availability of aftermarket parts, get something else on the DPMS pattern. If you want to use your FAL mags, get a RRA. Jon
  24. My reloading setup is lacking. Very, very lacking. Jon
  25. ...obsessive compulsive! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pii4G8FkCA4 :o Jon
