Battle Arms Develpment BAD-DBM
moagm316 replied to 98Z5V's topic in Battle Arms Development - Terminated
Does anyone on here do Inletting? I have contacted several places locally and they want a ton for inletting. I would prefer to buy a Bell and Carlson over the Choate stock with the M5 inlet already done. It is not that the Choate is bad or anthing it is just that the Metallist stocks have the full Aluminum through the grip where as far as I can tell the Choate stock lacks the aluminum in their pistol grip and back. I could be wrong on this though. -

I have heard that the Polymer Ruger Mags don't work. Either Ruger should fix this or someone shoule make a polymer mag in the AI pattern. -

When will you be offering these to your dealers for purchase? -
The 9mm is a GBB design so there is no hole for a gas tube and unlike other manufacturers that have that stupid plastic shell/gas deflector theirs is an integral part of the receiver. It also has no forward assist built into it.
-
I am looking for a stripped upper. Let me know if anyone has one.
-
I want to buy a stripped spikes tactical 9mm stripped reciever. All realistic offers will be entertained.

I for one can tell you that procurement does not make decisions like this. We only order to the specs of the customer a.k.a. the guys in uniform. Contracting buys what the soldiers want. We may assist in writing a PWS for a service contract, but for supplies we buy what the customer wants. So please don't blame it on procurement. Yes there have been some bad apples, but those guys are found out and should be punished for what they do.
-
Those were my thoughts exactly, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it.

I am buying a rainier arms 18" barrel in the Armalite pattern. What gas tube do I get?
-
The rear bean bag is lighter and more responsive, but the monopod has its situations as well. Get both and learn to use both. You can make a rear bag and buy a monopod.

Congrats. -
I have an Armalite patterned Nickel Boron coated bolt and BCG that was aftermarket coated by WMD Guns. I no sooner have my barell, but I hear rumblings that WMD guns may be coming out with Nickel Boron coated Bolts and BCGs for the .308 soon. I do not know what pattern they will be in, but I have it on good authority that they may be comming out with one. What are your thoughts?
-
I heard that WMD guns will be coming out with a .308 bolt and BCG. I am assuming in DPMS pattern.
-
A rear bag for my off hand is all I need and it works for much faster adjustments than a mono pod and does not cost a ton of money. Rear bags have been used for years with great success.

GG&G ALL THE WAY. I have one and they are the cats meow.
-
All I have to say is they are absolutely sexy. The Nickel Boron Coating takes the RRA NM 2stage to the next level. It was smooth out of the box when I got them back from the coater and now they are even better. I buffed out the coating to a high gloss with an extremely fine polishing wheel and it is even slicker. I used a pull gauge and it brakes at a glassy 2 lbs. before I buffed it it was at a consistent 2.5 lbs.

If I am going SS then I will go Noveske. I am going CHF for barrell life.

I have in mind two suppressors and the both must meet my requirements. 1. Suppress at a minimum be safe for humans hearing. 2. Have a fast attach system preferrably for use with A2 style flash hiders. Preferably the Battle Comp. 3. Be user serviceable. Any thoughts?

I am over here in SA and looking for a reasonably priced transfer.
-
I paid 150 for the BCG and a few other parts. The triggers are seperate and took a long wiat time.
-
Ok here goes folks. I sent out my Armalite BCG, NM 2 stage trigger and dome other AR15 parts to be coated. Let me tell you. This stuff is slicker than snot. the BCG pior to coating was gritty and the CAM pin was an extremely tight fit. Now it fits just as tight but comes right out. This is going to be awesome when I finally get my rifle together. The Nickel Boron coated NM trigger is as smooth as glass and breaks like it too. All I have to say is that I think I will start selling those NM triggers. They are awesome.

I am thinking about either a Rainier Arms Ultramatch 20" or an 18" Noveske. What are your thoughts?

I ended up getting the GG&G at below dealer cost. I had a DVOR Coupon and it was on sale to boot. I know Larue is rock solid and will be using it on my .308. I will be buying an ADM mount to compare it to the GG&G though. We will mount it up and see what happens.
-
There seems to be a ton of debate on which scope mount is better. Larue GG&G ADM I would like to put this to bed in my mind once and for all. Larue QD Scope mount $200 Never on sale GG&G $200 or 175 on sale ADM I have found for $175 or much less through a connection. My primary concern is Return to Zero and weight. The difference in price of these three manufacturers does not make much difference to me. This is for an AR15 3-9x40 scope. For my ultra long range scope I will go with the Larue all the way, but if I can get away with a lower priced mount I would like to. Thoughts.
