  1. 5.11 makes a good polo. Well sewn and it features a pen pocket on the left sleeve. Underarmor also makes a good polo, I have several of those as well.
  2. Really looking forward to this one as well. Minor comics nerd, MAJOR movie nerd and action pic junkie. Some movies you HAFTA see on the big screen and I think this is one of them.
  3. Awesome stuff! Lube it up and go shoot it!
  4. I also have the 20" model. SCARY accurate gun. Before swapping triggers, I'd call LWRC about it. The internals of the lower are little different from other ARs.
  5. "When you can't post on 308AR.com, you get angry. When you get angry, you take out your frustrations. When you take out your frustrations, you get an eye patch. When you get an eye patch, people think you're tough. When people think you're tough, they want to see HOW tough. When people want to see how tough, you wake up in a roadside ditch. DON'T wind up in a roadside ditch. Post at 308AR.com now."
  6. Agree, Agree, Agree. Lube it up and shoot it!.
  7. US Marshals, 1998 sequel to The Fugitive.
  8. Do I understand you correctly? You paid $1300 for a stripped lower? That's re-donc-ulous! As for the ACR, I've shot one. Liked the ergos. Didn't like the weight (for a 5.56 rig). The killer for me was the 1:9 twist barrel. Now that Remington's involved with it, maybe they'll make some improvments.
  9. Looks more like a hammer head than a buffer.
  10. Welcome. Spent a lot of time in North Cack-a-lakky. I've got family around Mount Airy and most of my career was spent at Bragg. Whereabouts are you in the Tarheel State? Good looking rifle you got there, too.
  11. Cool. Been to Tulsa a few times for marathons and the Wannemaker show. Great place. Currently I'm in the SW portion of the state, just north of Wichita Falls, TX.
  12. I like the M14. I have a lot of nostalgia for it. The old M21 I was issued in Division back in '84 was a pretty relaible old horse as I remember. But, man, was it fragile. Getting it accurate and KEEPING it accurate was a chore. Fortunately, maintenance had a couple of old timers that knew how to keep those sticks hitting the X-ring. I vividly remember wrapping my rifle in bubble wrap prior to putting it into the M1950 on times that I was made to jump it. On most jumps, we had 2x4s in our weapons cases and our M21s were trucked out to the DZ and waiting for us in the assembly area. I think you'll find the ease of mounting optics, perceived recoil, and cheek weld to be vastly superior in a .308 AR vs. the M14.
  13. All GI parts? Must've set you back a pretty penny.
  14. Welcome! What part of OK are you originally from?
  15. My AR10 has the Armalite NM trigger. It's not too bad; a little mushy compared to the Giessle triggers in my other ARs.
  16. Dick move, Matt. Good one. Ya got me. My mouth was open on that one, <laughs>
  17. You must have had some positive karma built up. Good going, friend!
  18. Welcome from Texhoma! What sort of M14/M1A are you running?
  19. Did I mention that I'm a life coach, too? "Dude, What are you doing...40 bucks for shoes for a child that's gonna outgrow them in 6 months? Buy him a pair of over-size flip flops for 99 cents. When cold weather hits, he can wear them with socks. Then you can spend the rest on FGMM - Academy's got a sale going on right now."
  20. Noveske uppers are also built on the Armalite standard.
  21. Welcome to the site, Jeff. I don't like to tink of it as poverty. I simply CHOOSE to feed my guns rather than my famiy. And you can do a million things with ramen noodles.
  22. Do y'all still celebrate Contraband Days? Used to be a pretty big party down thataway.
  23. Welcome from SW OK. Totally agree with switching out the trigger on your DPMS. I've never used a McCormick trigger. I'm interested to know how it works out for you.
  24. Sorta like a "precision" ranch gun with a low to mid-power variable optic to keep the weight down, like a 1-4x, 1-6x, or 1-8x.
  25. Instead of whack-a-mole, out here we play whack-a-dog. Funny, but everytime I see a prairie dog town I think of Carl dropping the C4 bunny down the gopher hole in "Caddyshack."
