  1. I know some of you are behind enemy lines so I'm asking here, my buddy has a ar he built on a 80% lower here in Tx, what does he need to change before he moves to California?
  2. The one midway shows is it!! I didn't even look there:((, Thank's a bunch!!!
  3. I'm hoping someone here happens to have a disconnector or a whole trigger group/parts gun around, my disconnector tip broke off and neither numrich or browning has one available. If not, any ideas on where to find one would be appreciated. Thank's in advance.
  4. My sister in law had a 2002, was real good, zero issues up to 160k when it got wrecked. It has plastic headlights which turn VERY yellow but a 3m kit fixes that, and I drove it to new mexico once, driving very carefully the best I could get was 16mpg.
  5. That's good to hear!!
  6. I've only had it once or twice, it was good. They ship them overseas alive I think
  7. We are in Washington co., they hunt a lot in burleson and grimes counties too . The prison I spoke of is in Navasota.
  8. It sounds like a hell of a good time, I have a open invitation to go but haven't been able to. They hunt with one of the girls that was on the American hoggers show:))). Yes all are caught live, sometimes they split them with the landowner if he wants. The rest get sold and sent overseas for meat ( prob sent back here as domesticated pork). I have a good friend who works a a nearby prison, they are on the brazos river and the neighbor to the prison had to make a choice, get rid of the cows or the hogs. They brought in a helicopter and shot over 400 hogs from it two weekends in a row! It's a BAD problem here.
  9. I'm not sure why the second pic turned sideways, or why the third and last turned upside down. If someone wouldn't mind fixing it I would really appreciate it. The pic of the scale is the weight of the one in the third pic.
  10. Here are a few pics my customers took on their hunts over the last week. They got 21 sat before last then 8 mon, 5 Friday, 8 sat and 4 on Sunday. They absolutely love it, all caught with dogs, and I put the machines back together after the hunts:).
  11. Just food for thought, try to find a deal on a xr100 or ttr125,or equivalent, great practice for beginners, it gets you used to the clutch, twist throttle and braking and turning. if you drop it you break a $10 lever. as long as you don't pay too much they are pretty easy to resell. I know several people that have done this, it works well.
  12. Here is mine, have been thinking of getting rid of the green and selling it, I would prefer to put the $ into my dad's old 57' 210.
  13. I don't ride much since the neck surgery but do still go for the occasional jaunt on my neighbors place. I have another silver w/stars and stripes that I'll get out of mothballs soon.
  14. Yes sir, thanks! 1/4" endmill through then a corner rounding endmill, was going to go all the way around but decided I like it that way for some reason. Also milled a pocket to locate the rail section on the bottom. It's a el-cheapo bipod from utg.
  15. Here is my old bushmaster xm-15 I had been bored with for some time, I just finished it (almost) please ignore the Allen bolt holding the arms mount on.
  16. I'm also looking for the most bang for my buck in a 20" SS barrel, been soaking this up and will keep watching, great info. I'm over on the guild too, I fancy myself a good machinist and pretty fair fabricator but some of those guys are AMAZING!
  17. I'm not for the NFA either or them overstepping and taking rights away, but the law is the law, for now anyway :(. Just saying that we don't need extra scrutiny bc of folks trying to get around the law. I honestly believe that if one can pass the FBI background check, and has a clean record, he or she should be able to build whatever they want, non-transferable of course, as long as we follow the same regs as NFA owners. If the govt wants a revenue source make it a $200 (or more maybe for homebuilds) tax stamp and a $50 per year fee for every firearm built. If we can pass the same checks then why not alow it? The only difference is the price of the firearm.
  18. I understand and agree with the argument y'all are making about them regulating this, but if it looks like a skunk and smells like a skunk........ Skirting the rules will just piss them off, no one needs to stir the pot. We've seen it with numerous products in the past which were meant to just barely get around the laws. I'm surprised they got away with it this long, solvent traps, the "auto safety sear" ad in shotgun news, the select fire backplate for glocks, slide fire stocks, the old hellfire triggers, crankfires for 1919's. Some are still around and some not but I choose not to partake because I would rather not enjoy a visit from the alphabet boys.
  19. There is a guy on YouTube that fills berdan cases with water and removes the de capping pin from his sizing die , then runs the case up into the die real fast in order to push the primer out hydraulically. This looks easy enough, are berdan primers different dimensions than boxer primers?
  20. A buddy of mine is looking for some and I haven't been able to locate a source, does anyone know of a source? Thanks in advance
  21. "If you can find a tactical machining upper" is the key statement here Edge, I am beginning to think they are like unicorns. In fact today I was told that they have a batch at the anodizer now and are waiting to get them back for testing bc this is the first batch, which I know is incorrect bc I remember seeing one or two for sale that I missed. Anyway their lowers are top notch and I am sure their uppers are too (that's why I've been waiting for about a year), does anyone know of one for sale?
  22. I use a couple of 2x2's pointed on one end to make a stake then screw them to corrugated plastic election signs, the signs are weather proof, are easy to staple to, and don't come apart or splinter no matter how many times you shoot them, I try to get leftover signs from the local democratic candidates!
  23. The reloading store I go to in Houston used to have one that said " no 6 o clock holds"
  24. I DO NOT like the idea of so called smart weapons and like the above posters I will not even think about thinking about them, but Gnatshooter I do like the sound of selling defective guns to gun grabbers, just have to figure out how.
