  1. Welcome! I'm from California. I'm new too but these guys here are great!
  2. Very nice! Will the gunsmith produce these for sale?
  3. Livn - i was in a rush so I messed up the threads. Since the photos i've been able to file down the threads so that it can tighten and close the gap. Fits much better. archangel - i've thought about that, but I'm planning on getting another FF tube such as a Troy TRX, APEX, or (if it ever comes out) the Samson Evo .308. Don't want to waste my time on it.
  4. Should I get this more complete kit... http://www.midwayusa.com/product/785993/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index-deluxe-kit or get this one and piece together the rest? http://www.midwayusa.com/product/622290/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index-value-kit Are these the proper .308 shell holders and dies? http://www.midwayusa.com/product/616684/lee-universal-shellholder-2-308-winchester-30-06-springfield-45-acp http://www.midwayusa.com/product/148525/lee-deluxe-3-die-set-308-winchester
  5. I'm interested in seeing a review of these too. They look nice.
  6. Great response, I appreciate your help. I figure the Lee would be sufficient for me to learn how to load and do load development without having to swap out dies for every step. I don't plan on doing bulk loading, just need enough for the range and HD. It'll be for a hobby and money saving so I can shoot more.
  7. 392heminut - for the lee turret, will this be good enough for just practice rounds or can it still be as good as a single stage press for accuracy? I'm really interested in this one and almost ready to pull the trigger. Are there any other part suggestions to adding to the current lee turret kit that's available. I want to have extra turret plates and dies for all the ammo I'd like to reload: 9mm, 45acp, .223/.556, .308.
  8. very nice, when are you heading to the range? post an update.
  9. x2. interested in seeing some results!
  10. Very nice killshot! Here are my two 1911's. Springfield TRP half-rail and a RIA 1911 Tactical 9mm with Fusion trigger kit.
  11. I'm just happy it didn't blow up in my face since this is the first upper I've ever assembled. And yes, I had a blast shooting it.
  12. Brought the LR308 out to the range today and it shot great. Cycled perfectly and was able to shoot about 3" groups at 100 yards after sighting the scope in. I'm still new to shooting so I know the 3" groups aren't that good, but I am improving. I definitely need a better bipod and trigger very soon.
  13. It'll fit anything with a slot or hole. The Magpul MOE polymer rails have the appropriate hardware to fit most slots/holes. I have a 2" on my DPMS slotted free float at 6 o'clock for my bipod.
  14. I have a Raddlock on my TM-10 lower and it works fine. I've heard issues with the CMMG can be resolved with an Armalite AR-10 mag catch. You might be able to give that a try with the Prince-50. Which LPK are you using?
  15. Haha, the pics in the original post was from last week. I started painting the upper portion of the UBR before I posted and I swapped out the back/front strap of the grip since I have the extra set in black. I just used Rustoleum Satin Black, but it was too glossy so I'm adding some Duplicolor automotive black trim paint that I know is much more flat in gloss. I painted the mag FDE with Rustoleum Satin Dark Taupe. This isn't my idea, I found a pic a month or so back and I liked it. Just something a little different than MOST FDE/black AR's.
  16. Thanks! I just took some better pics.
  17. I finished my build a week or so ago. I'm going to the range this sunday, I can't wait. Hopefully it'll cycle and shoot with no issues. It weighs in at 10.8 lbs with an unloaded mag as pictured. -Tactical Machining TM-10 lower -Tactical Machining LPK -Phase 5 EBR -BADASS ambi safety -Raddlock bullet button -Magpul MIAD, UBR, LR 20 pmags -DPMS upper receiver with chrome DPMS BCG -Rainier Arms select 18" barrel -SWFA SD 16x42 scope mounted in ADM Recon 20moa mount Future upgrades (summertime): -Gisselle or JARD trigger -Troy, Apex, or JP Free float -Battlecomp BABC -a good bipod. Edit - Updated pics:
  18. searching for parts and ran into this site on google.
  19. thanks edge crusher, the rainer select is on the top of my list and the fulton barrel is on the shortlist along with bhw. Just can't decide.
  20. I just moved to Fremont. Thanks all for the welcome. Any suggestions for barrels under $300? 18" and reasonably accurate.
  21. Hi, I'm from Cali and I recently bought a TM-10 lower receiver and am collecting parts for my first AR .308 build. I'm relatively new to firearms (bought my first handgun in March 2011) but am learning fast. In my collection I have a Springfield 1911 TRP Operator Half Rail, RIA 1911 9mm Tactical with upgraded fcg, and an AR15 (CMMG Lower, LMT 14.5" with pinned Battlecomp 1.5). So far, I've ordered all the parts I want for my .308 lower: -TM-10 lower receiver (bought from a local guy, PPT) -TM-10 LPK -Magpul UBR in FDE -Magpul LR20 Mags -BAD-ASS Ambi Safety Selector -Phase 5 EBRv2/308 -DPMS CAR buffer and spring Next month I'll collect/order parts for my upper which will be based off of DPMS A3 upper and a nice 18"barrel (maybe Rainier select 18"). I'll post pics of everything before, during, and after it's built.
