  1. I was a Mortgage Loan Officer and Underwriter for 5 years until I was laid off 3 times in a year and a half. I went back to school to get my bachelor's in sociology and then now in Grad school for my master's of social work. My field placement next year will be at the local V.A. hospital as a medical social worker working with vets in the spinal cord injury rehab center. I also have a spinal cord injury and would love to work with these guys in my career...hopefully it pans out.
  2. i got a bunch of dies and reloading components on order.
  3. That bad boy is coming along nicely! I want that hand guard, but i'm still undecided.
  4. I'm impressed by the quality too. I'll change the upper later after I get the BC BABC, trigger, and new hand guard.
  5. Did you know the TM upper receiver is now available? Looks sleeker than the dons upper.
  6. JP has a adj lo-profile gas block. Nice build list
  7. Don't worry, I don't have many left either! <lmao>
  8. At least you figured it out!
  9. If you go with a DPMS platform, I would easily suggest getting a Rainier Arms barrel, either their select or match. It's much lighter than a DPMS bull barrel but still accurate. Many people, that I've read, are able to get close to MOA on the Select barrel and sub-MOA with the ultra match barrel. My best 5 shot group on my select barrel was pretty close to MOA but I'm not a great shooter, it outshoots me right now.
  10. I built mine and it's about $2200 with scope and mount. I went with a TM10 lower, DPMS upper receiver and BCG. Then I made sure I got the barrel I wanted and picked my parts carefully to were I can buy "cheaper" parts that I can upgrade later - mainly the hand guard, flash hider and stuck with the stock trigger. These will be upgraded in the future. You can always buy a 18" upper or rifle and upgrade later.
  11. Try calling JD and see what they suggest. Sometimes I use high temp RTV for cars and put it on the threads, let it dry up and then tighten the screws.
  12. FYI, Primaryarms.com has the troy's for really cheap. It's out of stock now but keep an eye on them or email marshall@primaryarms.com. Great guy! $159 for the 12.6" and $169 for the 13.8".
  13. That's where I ordered mine. That mount is solid and the throw levers work great with the lock and is easily adjustable to ensure that your zero stays put (for the most part).
  14. Nice! I'm somewhat a war historian. I'd hang those up in my office if I had them.
