  5. Spearing season is always cool to follow here on winnabago and other fox river lakes. They issue a certain amount of tags each year then the dnr keeps the season open based on the amount of fish harvested.   7. Great brewery, great people! They just expanded they were in an old strip mall. They do BBQ now too it looks great
  8. I’ve made the liquid with onion soup mix and or beef broth. I’ve also added sliced onions and peppers from my garden.
  9. I usually just give it a quick brown to make a broth, but a lot of people I know raw pack it.
  10. Incase you don’t already know you need to pressure can. I’ve done venison in the past. I’ve got some old meat In the freezer I need to do this with. Probably do it this winter. I love it with mash potatoes too, or take the jar dump it all In a pan with some onions (I can mine with onion soup mix) add a little flour to thicken it up and serve it over egg noodles with some parm
  11. I’m so glad my mom taught me, her mother taught her. I grow most my garden for canning. I don’t even like fresh green beans which is what got me into pressure canning.

  16. This was Monday or Tuesday night, today was the first clear day all week other wise it’s been foggy/hazy
  17. I had some idiot spouting how this is trumps fault and people like me denie science. I came back at him with science telling him how his leftist states have cut forestry and land management funding, which has turned those states into tinder boxes and I never heard back from him. I know droughts are part of it but a well maintained forestry program sure helps.

    I had that problem with the bear mountain ones, I used a lot of treager pellets and never had an issue. Our ace is low low too, I got some Weber’s from them a month ago I liked those too.

    Picked up a cheater crust to break in the pizza oven last night. With the grill set to 300° the store will run about 800° it took less than 5min to cook that pizza

    I kinda did that yesterday, parents got me the pizza oven got my grill (mom refuses to hear “I don’t need anything for my birthday”). So I pull everything apart to put it in and realize I need to clean after doing that fatty brisket. Put my new fancy oven in there and Light her up to burn the factory off of it. Go in side and run some water to soak my grates and the living room is filling with smoke. Go outside open up my grill and the back ledge is a blaze!!!!! So I turned the temp down and let her run it’s course. I’ve only ever had one fire with meat on and I have no clue how it happened

    I haven’t done them yet with those jalapeño beans yet, but I had them by themselves last week and they’re pretty good.
