  2. Hope I didn't :hornet: on the way back >:D
  3. So here we go again another season of smash mouth football. The chiefs are going to have a tough schedule this year but the defence seems better during pre season. Looks like the Hawks are picking up where they left off last year :P
  4. Any links? or is it one of those I had to be here moments <munch>
  5. Thanks for the replies fellas good to be back. I'll have to do some reading to get up to speed around here <thumbsup> Shepp, you just saved someones lower unit <thumbsup> That pontoon boat you see me on lost one due to fishing line getting in the seals and cutting them up.
  6. Hey guy's whats up? Took the summer off from surfing the web and spent more time fishing with some friends of mine. Here is some pics of one of our better trips. I think we ended up with 6 Walleye numerous White bass and a few Wipers along with some crappie and cat fish. This time me and another friend took the old Seasprite out for some fishing and ended up with this nice little mess right here :)) But of course when I took the wife out for some fishing we end up with this And no thats not a lure its a real large mouth bass. But the day wasn't a total loss we ended up catching someone elses fish. The wife and I were trolling along the shore when I noticed a bobber floating about 15 feet from the bank. Decided to pass it down the port side so the line wouldn't end up in the prop and cut the seals. As we're going by my wife tries to grab the bobber and the sucker goes under, I thought the line got wound up in the prop so I slipped it into neutral and drifted a ways and saw it pop back up and swim away. Since our luck had been so good for the day we turned around and spent 20 min. trying to snag it and this is what we caught.
  7. I shoot lefty and the Tacops works perfect for me. besides if you go shooting with your buds that are righties no one will have to operate the rife in an awkward way with it being ambi.
  8. Now that was cool, wounder how long before that priming compound starts drying out? That would be a scary position to have there. I know in the Navy we qualified on 1911 with the .22 conversion on them in boot. That was back in 88 so I have know idea if they still do or not.
  9. You can clearly see the garage door bottom bowing up and the top bowing down in the first garage pic. Thats just messed up and the pros at the shop can't see this. Maybe the tech just got back from lunch :ifly: Thanks for the heads up Farkle.
  10. Did this years ago when I had trouble with some rings and been doing it ever since, probably more out of habit now than anything. When I pulled the Weaver there didn't appear to be any RTV left in the rings so maybe it doesn't need any since these were better rings to begin with. Thanks gnatshooter
  11. Yesterday the UPS left this on my porch :)) Gee I wounder what it could be Well Bushnell put some good packing in there I just wish who ever packed it would of put some under the scope instead of all on top. But UPS came through and no damage to the outer carton at all. Well lets see what we have here As you can see the scope came with a 3" sun shield, user instructions, mil dot instructions and registration card with some adds. Now its time to take the old Weaver Kaspa scope off the rifle and this is why If you can see my glass is speckled with some dirt or something and the turrets are mushy and you can hardly feel the clicks so it had to go. After taking off the old scope I cleaned the mount with some mineral spirits and started the mounting process You may notice in the pic a tube of RTV, I use this to fill any low spots or voids between the scope and rings. I got my eye relief set and leveled the scope. After getting the scope mounted to the rifle I all I have to say is wow the eye relief is so much better than use to that it may take some time to get use to and how much more forward that I had move the mount on the rails just to get the full view in the scope this should reduce eye strain which is a plus. The glass is clear and bright and fit and finish is great. The turrets are covered with dust caps which is fine for me and the adjustments are firm with an audible click no mushiness here. The turret towers are indexed so resetting to zero without getting lost should be a lot easier After sighting in and to reset zero you pull up on the turret knob then it free wheel so you can do this. The instructions make no mention of how to do this ??? Over all I am very pleased with this scope so far and can't wait until tomorrow to go and sight it in thats it for now. Did you make it through this long post <munch>
  12. Well as far as the internet goes I guess that makes us neighbors. I hear you guy's have a really cool range out your way called Bucksnort around Marshall I think <dontknow> Have you had a chance to check it out? A pastor from another forum said he take me out there to do some long range shooting since I'm stuck at 100 to 200 yard ranges around here. been really wanting to learn to judge wind and adjust for it, so as soon as my new scope gets here and mounted I'm going to get out there and try it to see if I like shooting long range.
  13. Welcome to the forum <thumbsup> you will find these guys know there stuff about the .308 AR and its a great place to hang your cover Marine. What part of the state you in? I'm in the KC area and if my new scope gets here I'll be at Lake City this Sat. sighting in.
  14. Bubba, that looks to be a great place to shoot. Wish I could find some land out here like that.

    Finally

That same lake has some fine walleye in it I've caught a few out of there but I'm going to have to give the crappie the edge its close though.
  16. Do it, it would be interesting to see the how much torque that 2 cycle puts out <thumbsup> looked like you had some fun trying to manage it.
  17. Looks like a you had good time. How fast do you think that bike will go on pavement?

    Finally

I'm telling you crappie is best tasting fish I've ever had and thats an hell of an idea to have them for breakfast never would of thought of that. Now I'm hungry This sucks we had a big storm move through yesterday lots of rain and hail and the temps dropped about 20*. So instead of having mid 60's to 70* for highs were in the 40's to 50's. Thats going to effect the spawn and make it harder to find them. Were thinking next week it should be on and going to try to hit it hard.
