  1. What aggravates the hell out of me is having my ability to purchase a silencer rest in the hands of an individual who likely knows little to nothing about the NFA.
  2. If your adjustment screw in your block backs out or vibrates in (non-syrac blocks), you can fix it fairly quickly without breaking down the weapon. If that thing backs out, then you have to breakdown the weapon. What if all that expansion and contraction causes that little screw to come loose in your upper, it may not be catastrophic, but it likely won't be good.
  3. Street Gangs and National Level Gangs within the military are nothing new.
  4. How low down does a guy have to be to arrest another man for collecting rain water? The pond situation is almost too bizarre to believe....but yes I believe it.
  5. This is a condensed version, but fairly accurate on the major points. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/04/foghorn/sig-sauer-sues-atf-calling-muzzle-brake-silencer/
  6. ^^^^^^Truth. Not only did Noveske win, but.....I predict Sig is going slam another one in the "W" column in the near future.
  7. The .gov can't even maintain asphalt and concrete.....so I am guessing letting them maintain a solar road would be like entrusting calculus homework to a toddler.
  8. <laughs> <laughs> Which brings me to my next point...had the kid not learn to art of self pleasure......or how to hang around a bar at 1:53 a.m?
  9. Im gonna stock up too.....The ban is coming.. <laughs>
  10. I predict that legislation is going nowhere. What do they propose to do with the knife wielding issue? Those things are dangerous. I hate that this happened, of course any sane person does, but it is this untreated mental illness that nobody wanted to address. As stated before, neither the criminal justice nor the healthcare system is set up to deal with mentally ill people....catch and release... I guess people are still butthurt over how "One Flew Over The Cookoo's Nest" made them feel about involuntary treatment.
  11. Rambo, John J, born 7-6-47, Bowie, AZ.......hell yeah "You want a war? I will give you a war you wouldn't believe." 32 years old and the movie is still badass.
  12. Nope. Nothing happening June 1. Some changes are coming, but I don't think they have a hard and fast date. Keep buying. >:D
  13. I suspect he has been like that since he was a little boy. The guy has some impressive credentials.
  14. Commandment # of the StainTrain Household "Thou Shalt not Pulp Fiction during Memorial Day Weekend War Movie-A-Thon!" Get thee behind me Shibi......although....first week of June is looking pretty good. I haven't see it in a while.
  15. The squeeze bag (like the TAB, FTW, or RED TAC) works well with holding the buttstock. The squeeze bag is to help reduce fatigue while properly employing the technique above.
  16. I'm hooked.
  17. Necropost........I saw this tonight and this line made me think of some of you. "That's another thing....don't fool around with the women. Their husbands carry guns. And don't forget the penalty for looting is death." I am already into my Memorial Day weekend War Movie-A-Thon. Coming up: Where Eagles Dare Decision Before Dawn Stalag 17
  18. As I stated in the other thread, I was seduced by the low price and online reviews. I was skeptical about the quality of this scope based on a couple of the PA 1-4 Scopes I have borrowed and used from others. I was mistaken. The scope is actually quite nice. I got it mounted up in an ADM Recon mount and placed on one of my rifles. I used my Vortex PST 1-4 (MRAD) for glass comparison. The glass isn't quite as good as the PST 1-4, but it is good. As I said, the glass is way better than any PA 1-4 that I looked though. Pros: -Price, $279 to my door. -True 1X . This is a little distortion at 1x, but it isn't horrible. -Illumination. It has settings from 1-11. Daytime visible on setting 11. Be forewarned...11 at dusk looks like the reactor meltdown warning light at Chernobyl. Settings 1 or 2 is plenty. -Reticle. I like the reticle. It is easy to pick up at every power setting I am going to a 600 yard range in the next couple of days to see if the reticle is worth anything. It is not as busy as I some of the web photos made it out to be. -Eye Relief/eyebox. It is not quite as good as the PST 1-4 or the M-223 line, but it more forgiving than anything else in its price range. It does get a little critical at 6x. -Glass. At the price point, it is above average. Cons: -The rear diopter/focus can't be locked into place. You have to use your flip up cap as your index. -Illumination doesn't cut off between power settings. -Turrets could be better. -Light. As dusk set it, you could see the short comings of the scopes ability to transmit light. -Field of View. I feel this could be improved upon. Next: This is my first day out with it. I will report back the next range day. I am going to box test it, test the reticle and work with it in conjunction with a PVS-22 to see how it does at night. I think for the price, it is a very nice scope....at least for now Let me get several hundred rounds through this thing and we will see if I change my mind.
  19. I know that U.S. Optics has had a couple of QC issues, customer service hasn't been on part with some of the other companies, and they are very slow to upgrade aesthetics of their products, but.......they have a reputation for being durable and reliable. They are hefty that is for sure. I don't think you will go wrong, but since you are from a Leupold Family the MK6 and MK8 lines are work a look.
  20. This is one of several precision rifle grips which has also been demonstrated at Rifles Only and other Sniper Training Courses. It is a great grip for bolt guns but I do not prefer it while I am running the ar platform or chassis with an AR type grip. That is not to say it doesn't work on those platforms...it does,
  21. Same here as well as a Primary Arms 1-6 Gen II. I know the sling will be quality, but I am skeptical about the scope. SCOPE: I was seduced by the price and online reviews. This is the cheapest magnified optic I have ever purchased. Once I get it and shoot with it, I will put together a review for anyone else on the fence.
  22. I recently purchased this one and I like it.
  23. Yes, perhaps in some instances it can be. It is just not a calculation I personally factor into my personal defense. I don't like violent people knowing I am the first one they need to shoot in order to get what they want. BTW. I am glad that worked out for you guys. I love the stories in the front of the NRA magazines about armed citizens.
