  1. Is this from experience? Because I find it to be more conjecture than anything every time I've seen it come up. Not one light on any of my guns has less than a 500 lumen rating except for my original TLR-1. I've gone through my place many times in the dark to see what I could see and what I can't with them (Streamlight TLR-1 HL - 630 lumens, Streamlight Protac HL - 600 lumens, Elzetta Charlie AVS - 900 lumens, Inforce WMLx - 500 lumens, Surefire P1R Peacekeeper - 600 lumens). I've never come close to blinding myself. You can use your light-colored walls to bounce light in order to make your WML act as a lamp instead of a spotting light if you're worried about blinding yourself.
  2. Well the upper description clearly says that it's a billet. The lower could be too...
  3. Heavier version for running WAYYY overgassed or suppressed guns.
  4. Yup, those will work fine. You can use this LR308 kit (cheaper and interchangeable). I don't trust UTG... I'd look at the Midwest Industries rails for a cheaper one.
  5. Only $21,645 from Ayan! He could also get the M110 adjustable stock kit...
  6. It sounds to me like the McGowen barrel places the FSB too close to the barrel extension flange to fit the Magpul handguards since it uses a standard AR-15 mid-length gas tube. You'd need the longer AR-10 gas tube and further out gas port spacing to compensate for the longer barrel extension.
  7. Try building a 308AR using LR-308, AR-10, and G2 pattern parts since they're all "AR-10's" and tell me how that works out.
  8. The more engineers the better!
  9. Given that you want to machine/build your own M110 clone, I would HIGHLY recommend you first familiarize yourself with the anatomy of the AR platform (AR15 will do as the M110 is essentially a scaled up version of it). This seems like a pretty decent place to start.
  10. When in doubt...
  11. Woohoo, my LM8 slick chassis came in today! It's surprisingly not much lighter than the MWS quad railed chassis at all. Bare MWS upper: 2 lbs 1.7 oz Bare LM8 upper: 2 lbs 0.9 oz Ergos are definitely nicer though! I need to find me a CMR/LM8 handstop now. Guess I'll have to switch to the new lightweight barrel to really cut some weight (shave a bit more than 0.5lbs from my current barrel).
  12. The LMT BCG is chromed.
  13. AFAIK the only company that makes G2 pattern parts is Adams Arms with their Small Frame .308. Maybe you can ask them if they've got an ambi handle coming out.
  14. Welcome! Is that one of those IMI mags in your pic? How's it working out?
  15. You may need a bit more detail. Occasionally they'll say "DPMS pattern" because it has an LR308 barrel extension, but the gas port location can be AR-10 pattern. We've seen a couple barrels here like this...
  16. Yup, that should work fine.
  17. SR-25s are 3/4"-24. IIRC they're the only ones.
  18. Thread pitch and bore diameter. Usually they state what caliber they're for though so you don't need to worry much about the 2nd one.
  19. IDF Holsters has 20% off with "IDFMEM20". Brings the Tru-Dot down to $320. I have one and think it's a great red dot.
  20. 15% off Aero Precision & free shipping on orders $99+ "MEMORIALDAY15"
  21. Anything you're looking for in particular? Primary Arms has some decent items marked down. SKD is running their standard 10-1X% (increases by 1% each day) off sale.
  22. You can also flip the block so it's upside down, align the rear-most set screw hole with the gas port (the set screw hole and gas block opening on the opposite side should be perfectly aligned which makes this method work) and then pencil in an index point on the barrel so you know how far to slide the block on.
  23. Nope. If you had an AR-15 it would work, but not with a .308 AR.
  24. VLTOR A5 buffers are incompatible with the AR-10 buffer system. They're too long (longer than standard AR-15 carbine buffer). If you want to go heavier than an H3 you'll need to get either Slash's HSS buffer or PWS H4 (also called suppressor weight).
