Any discernible difference in quality between the following lower parts kits? CMMG Fulton DPMS
  2. Thanks! I looked - it is the high DPMS. Ordered one. Great price!
  3. Awesome! Is the .210 Upper Tang the same as "DPMS High"? I need it to fit flush with an SI-Defense billet .308 upper. DRD
  4. Online, where?! I've only found $200 for the high dpms format
  5. Where did you get a Midwest Industries 15" KeyMod Free float handguard for only 159.00?

  7. Crusader Weaponry uses the BHW barrels in their Longbow and Broadsword builds. They along with one or two people I've seen on this forum report good things about them. I've also heard some negative reports, but don't remember exactly about what regarding the barrels. Maybe someone else can chime in about them.
  8. The folks at LaRue told me that they weren't seeing any increased performance with the poly over their typical rifling.
  9. I see your point. I guess I want to reduce the recoil as much as I can, while still running a retractable stock. The H3 buffer weighs more than the DPMS LR308 buffer, but still costs a heck of a lot less than Slash's carbine buffer, that only weighs slightly more than the H3. Bang for buck, I suppose. Not a big deal at the end of the day. Thanks for the input all.
  10. Good point. I'll check if it's milspec or not. 'Commercial' would be a deal breaker. What other options would I have besides Vltor. Just trying to save coin for the barrel.
  11. So just to clarify, the following should work: Leapers-UTG Receiver Extension Tube AR10 H3 Carbine Buffer Armalite EA1095 Spring
  12. Will Slash's or Springco's springs work?
  13. I see. Which set up will work better with Sprinco or Slash's .308 carbine springs and an H3 buffer (meaning which extension tube)? - I'm looking to keep the rifle lighter, cheaper, and decrease recoil. Thanks
  14. Farkle, Not really sure what you mean. I guess what I'm getting at, is which ones of those can I use for a dpms pattern 308ar for use with an adjustable carbine stock?
  15. I just saw this today: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2015/03/16/leapers-introduces-6-position-308-ar-receiver-extension/ Is this essentially the same as these? http://www.midwayusa.com/product/1413511541/dpms-receiver-extension-buffer-tube-6-position-ar-15-lr-308-carbine-aluminum-matte http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-parts/buffer-tube-parts/buffer-tubes/308-ar-carbine-buffer-tube-assembly-prod44751.aspx http://www.pof-usa.com/shop/index.php?id_product=8&controller=product https://www.primaryarms.com/308_CAR_receiver_extension_8_collapsible_p/arm10207025.htm http://www.midwayusa.com/product/348370/vltor-a5-recoil-system-carbine-receiver-extension-buffer-tube-7-position-mil-spec-diameter-ar-15-aluminum-black
  16. I think NP3 is a form of salt bath nitriding or ferric nitrocarborization, no? If so, just look for a nitrided or Melonited BCG.
  17. Well? Range report please...
  18. http://www.highspeedgear.com/hsgi/double-decker-taco-11dd00.html http://www.emdomusa.com/Emdom-Universal-Rifle-Magazine-Pouch-p/eu189.htm I use these so I don't need to switch gear when using .308, 5.56, 7.62x39, etc.

  20. Thanks, Any advantage to the POF over the PWS in this case?
  21. Farkle, Would this one work as well as the Vltor A5? I'm curious as it's designed to be anti-tilt: http://www.primaryarms.com/PWS_Enhanced_Buffer_Tube_308_p/4bt308b1.htm
  22. I know, Great deal on the DPMS Miculek. I've heard similar things from Ross Schuler brakes (which look similar and cost less! $45) http://home.comcast.net/~MOA_Shooters/RossMuzzleBrakes.htm http://www.muzzlebrakesandmore.com/ROSS_SCHULERS_PAGE.php
  23. I got a pair of these after seeing the ballistic tests. I think it took something like 30 round at close range, including 5.56 green tip and .308 before they finally had some penetration. They are crazy light and well priced. The company is run by a LEO / former SWAT / Tactical Instructor. http://www.gladiatorprotective.com/
  24. There are also these that are very popular with the precision bolt rifle crowd: https://www.americanprecisionarms.com/products-page/muzzlebrakes/
