Good deal...I only need the receiver, though. I'm thinking of a PRS stock and trigger tech 2-stage for it. BTW, anyone know what the best buffer weight is for a 6.5CM out of a 24" barrel (~140gr)? Would it benefit from a heavy buffer, or would an adjustable gas block be sufficient?

I already have the upper. It's SI Defense (also DPMS high). A compatible lower is what I'm looking for

Has anyone you know of had success mixing and matching with an Aero M5? (Please don't tell me I'm invoking the "rule" ;-)

This may have been addressed before, but I cannot seem to find the thread about it. I've got one of the last generation SI Defense upper receivers (DPMS High pattern), before they transitioned into Falkor Defense. I cannot find any SI lowers available to match it, nor does Flakor offer the lowers only on their site, only matched sets. What other lowers has anyone used that will run reliably with the SI upper? I though I recalled reading about feeding issues with certain mags. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Yes, As long as the OAL of the round fits and chambers, a 7.62 PMAG or the like will work for 6.5CM.

The folks over at Proof Research and JP seem to feel that it's best to use a "high pressure" bolt with the 6.5CM. Proof, has also come out with an extended length gas system barrel which included the gas tube to accommodate the pressures for the 6.5

I just know I need to cover the gas system. - 15" will work nicely What muzzle break to get? - For optimum recoil reduction Nathan Wright's Beast Brake seems to be the current one to beat. Search the muzzle brake threads for links to all the comparison testing that has been done out there to explore your options. What optics to get? - For hunting at 600 yards you'll likely want a good field of view, so more than 15x might not be helpful in my understanding -Why are you going for 1:11.25" twist, though? Hunting you'll want heavier pills. So, to stabilize them with a decent B.C. you'll probably benefit from a tighter twist; at least 1:10
