Well, i have a bear creek arsenal basic upper coming in, an moe handguard, an arms plastic rear sight, and a sig romeo 5 red dot. We will see how this whole cheap patriot thing works out. Total cost of all that and a mag is $450 via brownells and p.a.

It seems that their quality and qc has mixed reviews. I bought an armalite armorers book from a gentleman here on the forum, and i intent to run this rifle at tactical response, to check all of the build quality, and to learn a thing or two about the finer touches of ar armoring. Lol I hope its not a total waste!

Hey guys, i am going to let my Nordic (dpms rebranded) 22lr upper go... I built it as a trainer, and for my g2, but i dont use it as such, and i have other stuff that needs to happen. Make me an offer, i am serious when i saw that this is a PREMIUM set, with probably $100-150 in mags (which i may sell seperate, they work for almost all 22lr conversions) This isnt some 22lr conversion, its a milspec forged 7075 upper that uses a melonite treated 10/22 style bolt. It is super premium, and has literally never malfunctioned. Comes with midwest industries rail, and magpul mbus sights, and a TON of mags with metal feed lips. I have more mags than is shown, and i have a 50 round drum somewhere... Trade interests- cash is king, i need to start a new business!- Ar15 uppers, Ar15 mags, Metal 20 (or 19) round ar308 mags, 556, 223, 22lr, 9mm, 308/ 7.62x51

You guys are the best!!! So, some new things in the mail for me... or not in the mail NECESSARILY, but in process, as some have already shipped and some will be coming down the pipe... I am doing an Ar7 build with a sig mpx stock, and i need to build 3 matching budget Ar's... so that will be interesting. I NEED to be on the forum more!!! Honestly right now the job is killing me... Also, delaying the above "in the mail" items is the fact that i am tied down on funds because i am trying to start a coffee concession trailer for next summers business venture... ugh. Lol

I think slings are incredibly important, obviously, and i think the true purpose of a sling has been lost along the way somewhere in gimmicks. A sling should be like a holster for your rifle, so that when you cant have your hands on your rifle, its secure and ready to use. Over the years people have done all sorts of things to this concept from making ease of shoulder transitions to bracing to who knows what the priority- at the cost of the slings primary function.
