I think it was $1495.00 as pictured but without the scope or bipod.

Mags only hold 5 and they don't have them any bigger for that chassis. 5 is fine for this kind of stick though as far as I'm concerned... Mine will also have a Vias Micro SS Muzzle Brake, 2.5lb trigger and the folding stock so I can fit it into the shorter, 8 inch deep pelican case they will cut out and ship it in with 1 spare mag. I'm looking at a Nightforce for it and I'm hoping that I MIGHT be able to have the scratch for it by the time the rifle is ready. I'm psyched. This is actually my first "personally owned" bolt gun so I figured I try and do it right...

I just put money down on one of these little trinkets.... >:D Gonna be a month or so before it ships.

Game over. Pats won. The end. PS "my friend", how can you make your own luck if there is no such thing?
-
Indeed. The entire game, you never really knew which direction things were going to go in. A "gift" this was certainly not. I totally agree with SurvivalShop in that if the ball had been caught by the "right" guy, the coach would have been declared a genius for going with what the Pats didn't expect and everyone would have been raving over how they had been caught off guard and the Hawks were the masters of the universe or whatever. That unbelievable bobbling catch however, must have tipped their "luck scale" into the wrong direction and when it comes down to it, Butler was just one very lucky kid in the right place at the wrong time for the Hawks and after fighting their way BACK from a 10 point deficit, the Pats won with an absolutely CRAZY, against the odds, out of nowhere stop. Hindsight from recliners is a game played by people all over the world and worth little or nothing. All that matters is what transpired and this time, the Pats walked away with it - next year, who knows. This was certainly a nail biter of a game and that truly is what the Superbowl is supposed to be. Unfortunately, someone always has to lose. It's HOW we lose that determines our character - and how we win. Any Given Sunday..... God Bless us all.

We all write our own stories. In the end, his will not read well and I don't believe the final chapter will be a very long one.

The REAL game is saying pretty much anything on a forum and then watch all the experts jump in to contradict you. Now THAT's a game...
-
No one thinks the same way I do. And football is a game. I don't really care.

Madden Predictor Game just gave the Pats the victory. That game has been right 8 of 11 times for Superbowl picks. Sorry Sea Hawkers, looks like it's curtains. Sorry you wasted your hopes. Resistance is futile. Surrender all hope. You WILL be assimilated. Oh, and have a nice day... ::)

Now we need just need some rifle and handgun ammo stuffed with bacon buddies, pork scratchings or at least a little pig fat...

I've been in a couple of different small countries during New Years where people were always afraid of going out after 11 due to exactly this type of thing. People were dying every year in some areas from this kind of thing and owning guns wasn't even legal for the average person. May God receive the victim well and Bless his wife, family and friends.

I have the Gogun Supercomp XL on my AR10 rifle with the 20 inch barrel and my 11 yo son can shoot that thing all day. After the luck I had with the 308, I went back to them while building my wife's AR in 7.62x39 and used the XL Talon brake for hers and again, she LOVES that thing and brags about there being almost no "kick" at all and she's just little. When I go to the range, sometimes I'll set up a video camera for when my sons shoot. The AR10 used to jolt probably 2 inches (comparing the recoil against whatever is in the background) when it just had the birdcage and my son preferred to shoot about 10 rounds and take a break. He was also pretty intimidated shooting anything above 150 gr. After installing the Supercomp XL, the side view of the recoil is cut WELL more than in half, maybe even 3/4s of what it was and I could sit there and load mags with 168 gr match ammo all day long and he'd dump mag after mag if I let him. I don't have much to compare it to and just did a lot of reading and youtube watching and then made the decision on what I wanted to go with but my whole family has been pretty darn happy with the Supercomp line of brakes at this point. Of course, if those shrouded brakes are any good, redirecting a bit of the bang might be nice...

Hell, I remember back when if you grabbed a guy with a light mounted to his rifle or shotgun, you were probably talking with a poacher. Anyone remember those huge 6 D-cell lights with the 5 inch lens that guys used hose clamps and pieces of wood to mount on their favorite poachin guns??
-
OK, here's another twist. Why do guys always seem to put the light on the same side as their own head? I know I am certainly in the minority on this one but I absolutely prefer my light on the far side and NOT keep the light on the side of my face. At least if someone were to get off an either lucky OR very well placed shot at the light, it COULD hit the light and maybe even part of my arm but at least it wouldn't nail me in the face. I'm a little older than the new wave of tactical crowd and probably a bit more salty than the average fella but damn, why paint a target on your own face for gosh sakes?? Might as well put a little glow stick over your heart and a glowy happy face over your nuts while you're at it. I don't care HOW popular that seems to be, I will never be tempted to give anyone a direct bulls-eye to my own head. I'm sure the tactical theorists will argue with me all day on this one but damn, that just seems a bit much for my level of common sense and experience to bare.

Finally, a constructive use for one of those things. Nice video Hemi. Damn if I don't remember a few nights like that myself. >:D

I was Army, State Police, a lifetime volunteer fireman and a number of other things in my life and never have I needed, or even SEEN a need for a "strobe" function on a damn weapon light. Other than perhaps as an indication of a man down (to help him be found), is there an actual real life situation where you guys would prefer a strobing light over either a pressure switch or a simple on/off switch to control your beam with? I don't get it and I think all of the light manufacturers are throwing that out there to attract the "tacticool" demographic rather than real life users. I could just be out-dated but do the new instructors teach "strobing" approaches or something I'm not seeing? What gives here?

Nice article SS. Thanks.

speaking of "useless", have you read your posts?

This is "mostly" excellent input guys and I appreciate it. Going to be getting my wife a new Glock soon and going to be tossing in a new rifle for me and once I make the buy, I'll let you know what I come up with. I've got something special in mind but keeping kinda quiet about it till I actually get one in my hands. Keep the info flowing if you've got some though cuz it all counts. God Bless
