  1. With transfer fees and everything I’m at $582, but it won’t fold up in a laptop case…. I’ll check and see if the barrels are standard ar type once I get it, and maybe I’ll sbr it later… or maybe just buy another… I’m anticipating really liking it….
  2. holy crap! i got the 16" fx9 shipped for the same price as the ep9..... birmingham pistol was the site if anyone is interested..
  3. so the ep9 is just about $200+ cheaper than the FX9..... and the fx9 looks like twice the gun.... I'm leaning toward the 8" barrel for the fx9 it also comes in 4.5" and 10" ep9 had a 6.5" which would also be acceptable I don't do suppressors but I may start, and the 10" would make it too cumbersome I'm shopping now for the fx9...
  4. Soon enuff wimins 1/3 my age will be legal, so I gotta maintain the coolness factor.
  5. I like how they have the twist feature now so you can put an optic on it. that was severely lacking on the older model. I think I mostly want a more "tacticool" 9mm so I can look like a real opertater....
  6. with the parts I currently have it would cost me $400-500 to make another AR9 similar to what I currently have. The extar would be the better option. but the FX9 looks slightly more desirable. The Extar ep9 https://extarusa.com/ep9-6-5-9mm-essentials-bundle/ The Freedom Ordinance FX9 https://freedomordnance.com/product/fx-9/ The CMMG Banshee https://cmmg.com/pistol-banshee-mk4-22lr-9
  7. While those would function well enough, the EP9 is just a few dollars more and it’s a bit less “cheap” feeling. I am leaning toward the FX9, and if I stumble onto some extra munny, the Banshee may be the one… as it has a roller delay vs the direct blowback of most others
  8. I picked up 10 Glock stick mags today, so by law I need to build or buy another 9mm pcc. I may convert my .300 whisper to a 9mm, I really don’t think it does anything more than my ak does. Looking at an fx9, a banshee, and the ep9… converting the .300 would cost as much as as the cheapest one on the above list….
  9. Local shop had a 20% off sale on accessories and poop, so I bought 10 Glock stick mags… I guess I need to build or buy another AR9…
  10. I saved some $$$ on a used scandium 3” 1911. I have since spent at least the money I saved on some tripp magazines, another holster, some fancy wiz-bang ammo, and fancy slim aluminimum grips…. I was almost going to get a magwell, but it defeats the porpoise of getting a light, small 1911…
  11. The only firearms I would really be concerned about are the Spanish mausers and the CETME 58. I wouldn’t shoot 308 out of those. I haven’t seen either of those rifles in the wild for a long time.
  12. Are you just counting the peeples that posted on this thread?
  13. I ordered a pair of flush fit 7 round OM Tripp magazines, holy happy horse poop they seem nice. (Bottom right) next to those are the mags that came with the pistola, one S$W marked one med-gar marked but otherwise identical I needed some blade tech bits and pieces so I got a $22 aiwb holster that seems nice enough for the price. the older gcode incog holster (grey) is nice enough but their newer phenom holster is better, and I have one on order. the upper left mag holder was made to hold a single glock 17 magazine OR two 1911 magazines.
  14. once somebunny is deemed an asshatt, the analysis stops, and there is no possible redemption. too many cameras around these days…
  15. Peeples that feel the need to analyze and categorize the poop out everything irritate me.
  16. I really prefer stippling on my plastic pistolas
  17. I actually just picked up the G17 today, had trouble getting to the lgs. It’s a used gen5 and I doubt it has any rounds other than factory testing down the pipe. The safariland 578 holster that I had already fitted to my Springfield Hellcat Pro actually fit the G17 with zero adjustment. the length of the safariland 578 would fit a G34 and possibly a G17L. the lever under the trigger guard is the release, and it was easy to learn how to use it, very natural release when griping for a proper draw it’s too long for the 17 or the hellcat but the purpose of the holster is for 3 gun or action pistol so the extra length isn’t an issue. extra glock space extra hellcat space I also have this really cool level 3 blade tech holster (that is no longer made) it fits the CZ P-09. I traded both of my CZ’s for my new scandium framed 1911, and I was lamenting having this really cool holster with no pistola to fit it. BUT with a little heat applied to the trigger guard area, it fits the G17 perfectly. thumb release is very intuitive and the friction fit is also very secure I’d tumble down a hill with either of these holsters but would prefer the level 3 blade tech, I wish they were still being made.
  18. I have been looking for one them scandium framed s$w sumbich pistolas BUT they are expensive as hell. found one with some holster wear for less than 2/3 the new price. it looks to be an older model as they currently have an ambidextrous safety. I can’t stand ambidextrous safeties. I have a 9mm hellcat pro and a .32 seecamp for carry, and it’s nice to have a 1911 in the carry rotation. my last carry 1911’s were a Wiley Clapp and a stainless OM. The stainless would have been perfect if it weren’t for the weight I do believe I would still like a 22mag j frame for carry
  19. I'm picking up a glock 17 monday. I figured I may as well have a pistol that uses the same mags. I have a few of these holsters, and I think I'll get another for the 17. Safariland 578, fits multiple pistols good retention with that little lever sumbich. I usally use the blade tec mount and they work really well, I may just use the paddle mount that comes with it for this application. I was considering a shoulder holster, but I seriously doubt I'll use the glock much for carry.
  20. There are a lot of options for a pcc now. those folding kel tecs look interesting but I know nothing of their reliability. CZ scorpion looks interesting as does the multitude of AR9’s available today I have never shot those short shotgun shells, and they seem hard to find and I don’t know if I’d trust reliability. a shotgun is a specialty weapon and should’ve made more complicated by ammo choice as it is already limited in capacity. I built my AR9 to accept Glock magazines as I didn’t want to deal with modified sten mags. and 32 round Glock mags are cheap and plentiful. Palmetto State seems to have a good selection of pcc’s
  21. In days of Rambo knives I carried these… Still do..
  22. Truck gun and a couple extra rounds…
