  1. I think I'll do that, thanks y'all! lol I love this place.....
  2. Heat up the gas block a little (NOT red hot) to make it expand and slip it on, or else sand down the inside lightly. Some gas blocks are supposed to be that tight to keep it all aligned and in the right place
  3. Romanian PSL? What's the receiver marked? I think they use a modified AK47 trigger, along with a few other components, so this MIGHT work : http://interarmstx.com/products/ak47-hammer-spring It seems like the PSL would have a heavier hammer spring, though, seeing how you're chambered in 7.62x54R, correct?
  4. AK 47, 74 or M? IAC sells one for each: http://interarmstx.com/products/akm-hammer-spring http://interarmstx.com/products/ak47-hammer-spring http://interarmstx.com/products/ak47akmak74-hammer-spring
  5. I was honestly thinking the same thing, but I was a little hesitant at first. If you've got mods vouching for you, however, then I have no problem sending it your way. Send me your info and I'll go ahead and mail it out to you. Money order work?
  6. What if I could get you specs? I'd make one myself but I don't have access to a machine shop....
  7. Thanks, I do what I can :)
  8. It's like saying, "Oh yeah, you can bleach your clothes, but you have to do it in your living room in the floor because if you put bleach in your washing machine it could be used as a destructive device" XD
  9. If you're gonna spend the money on that, why not just save up an extra week or two and get this: http://www.betaco.com/cmag_product_details.asp?product=21&weapon=41 They've expanded into so many more platforms now, price just sucks....
  10. So no one knows where to get a wrench for my nut then, huh? Sorry if I'm picky, I've got OCD and it makes me very meticulous when it comes to stuff like this.
  11. That's the point most of the companies making them have made to big brother, and they've got a good point. Not just that, but as long as it's used for its intended purpose (though the Sig pistol brace is falling under scrutiny for this very reason, correct?), it's completely legal and unregulated, seeing how BATFE doesn't regulate cleaning supplies (as far as I know). I will throw out there, though, that I am neither a LEO nor a lawyer, and the BATFE has been known to change their stance on certain issues with no warning....
  12. Wow, ANYWAYS.... I think this might be able to help you out: http://www.armalite.com/images/Tech%20Notes%5C2015%5CTECH%20NOTE%20110.pdf And remember there's always that X factor. Some barrels just love to run certain rounds. Edit:also just realized how old this post was my bad y'all

    Ruger SR-762

Mine, too. I'm actually using the Matrix Aerospace FF M1913 Handguard, but I can't find a compatible wrench anywhere. I've actually got another thread about it here: What did you end up using?
  14. High temp anti-sieze (though most of it usually is) I've got that taken care of, though. I just need to find that 6 pin pattern barrel nut wrench. I'm starting to think it's like a good whetstone or a Leprechaun....
  15. So polygonal rifling was pretty much just an experiment for the folks out at LaRue, then? BHW makes 416R Stainless barrels w/ polygonal rifling, and they're relatively inexpensive, as long as that price difference doesn't translate to larger groups on paper.
  16. I could use a spanner wrench (and actually Chris suggested I use I believe one of those 1 point castle nut wrenches), but I'd rather use an actual torque wrench fitting so I know 1. EXACTLY how much torque I'm putting on that barrel nut and 2. that it's evenly distributed through the nut to keep from unnecessary stress. I don't think Riedeman Firearms sells the wrenches, and I've never been able to get through to Matrix Aerospace themselves, but I know SOMEONE must make a wrench for this type of nut...
  17. Anyways, about that polygonal rifling... Yea or nay? You said LaRue doesn't use it anymore, was it because it was less accurate, or just not as cost-effective as they want?

    Ruger SR-762

I'm actually building off a stripped upper/lower set that I got from Chris that was "blemished". Got a great deal, and it STILL looks better than most factory guns. I can't see any blemishes anywhere on either the upper or lower. I'm thinking 20" match bull barrel, free float quad rail, adjustable gas block, and rifle length stock and buffer. How did your build go? This is my first .308 AR build, so I'll take all the advice I can get, especially seeing how I can't find anyone else that's built off a Matrix Aero receiver.
  19. I work next door :D
  20. Yeah, we know each other lol
  21. That is literally EXACTLY what I'm talking about!

    Ruger SR-762

    If any of y'all want to build a DI 762, Ruger's SR762 receivers are manufactured by Matrix Aerospace. I believe Riedeman Firearms out of St. Cloud, Florida sells them, just so you know... Edit: This guy;
  23. I'm building an .308 AR on a Matrix Aero receiver set with a free float M1913 handguard from the same place, and I need a barrel nut wrench. Only problem is, I can't seem to find one that will work on my barrel nut. It's got six slots in the lip of it that are evenly spaced out. I think the Gem State Armorer's Wrench could work (or at least one of the adapters would), but, well, no one's got one. I've looked around for weeks and can't find anything close, any advice would be appreciated...
  24. Hey y'all, I've had this site on my favorites forever and decided to sign up finally. I'm actually starting my first AR-10 build and could use all the help I can get. I'm building on a matched Matrix Aerospace stripped upper and lower. I've got a free float m1913 quadrail handguard made by Matrix specifically for this receiver, but I need a good set of upper vise blocks and an armorers wrench/barrel nut wrench. My barrel nut has 6 slots in it that are evenly spaced out, but I cannot seem to find a wrench that'll work. I've heard good things about the Gem State Armorer's Wrench, but they're always out, is there anywhere else I can get one? Anyways, I hope you guys can help me out, and I'm glad to finally join up
