  1. It sounds funny, but war, conflict and crime mean big business for the government. There will always be people and organizations out there that play both sides of the equation, and occasionally have to cover their asss. Nobody's perfect, especially when you're essentially chasing your tail and know it
  2. I always wanted a powered exoskeleton, but what happens if you lose power or, worse yet, pull an Iron Man 2 and malfunction, ripping you in half. The Half Life super jump module would be the deal breaker :lmao:
  3. I apologize for my ignorance, but 98's links aren't very mobile-friendly. So what, Jade Helm is like training for Modern Warfare 3 IRL? I think they forgot about Zombie Mode practice....
  4. Great deal, but sadly, they are currently out of stock :(
  5. I've got a cheap WalMart phone running Android 4.0.4 with almost non-existant stock memory, so I can't get the app to install properly, and it won't install to the SD card (android 4.0.4)
  6. No, you're right, 98, but someone "borrowed" the only #8 phillips I had left, so I halfassed made one. Still had to persuade it loose with a power drill, though, but I got her loose. There was a strip of rubber wrapped around the threads from when they assembled it (probably). Just goes to show ATI gave me what I paid for. Man, I'mma have a shitton of pics to upload when I figure that stuff out
  7. Just got an ATI shotgun pistol grip stock for my 870. I went to install it and noticed they attached the buttpad before shipping. No biggie, just take it off with a Phillips head, right? Wrong; they must've used a friggin' air gun because I almost stripped the head loosening the top screw, and the bottom one won't budge. I hit it with some oil to maybe loosen it up, and I'm in the process of filing down a Phillips head for deeper contact as we speak. I could've sworn this thread was pinned
  8. Hey, you have to protect and preserve your rights, even if it's not necessarily YOUR rights....
  9. I know this probably goes in "politics", but we need as many eyes on this as possible. New Hampshire's senate has SB 116 scheduled for a floor vote tomorrow, April 29th. This bil will, among other things, repeal the license requirement for concealed carry in the state. You can find the literature here : http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/legislation/2015/SB0116.html I know you're probably thinking, " Why do you care, you don't even live in New Hampshire?". But this bill could be a step toward regaining more of our constitutional right to keep and bear arms, not only up north, but all across this great nation (maybe even the Kommunist state of Kalifornia). If you need help contacting a state rep, StainTrain and jtallen83 posted a couple pretty useful links here on our forum: There's not a lot of time left, so make sure you call, write, or whatever, and show NH how you support your 2nd amendment rights; I know I have....
  10. I still want to jump on a couple more projects while prices aren't ridiculous. Right now might be a good time to make a couple investments, too. I remember the Shooters out here has a SCAR 17 for $1200 a few years ago, now look at the prices
  11. Might need a good pair of auto darkening welding goggles for that glare! How would you go about polishing NiB coated stuff like that? Or would you even need to?
  12. Then I'm thinking Brown/Silver Bear. I think that stuff's made @ OJSC like Tula. There may be some 8m series mixed in if they're HP, but I wouldn't be surprised if they gave away 1,000 fmj's. Slightly off topic, it amazes me that everyone makes a fuss about M855, when a $5 box of Wal-Mart 7.62x39 has more weight in the "steel core" than the whole M855 bullet.
  13. Dude, you guys are awesome, thanks :D Edit: Holy sheet, that's in Monroe? That's like a couple hours drive from here! I wonder if I could get one for even less face to face (not that $200's not a great price considering the Geissele site runs ya $240, plus shipping)
  14. Sheeit, that cost more than my whole build! So far, anyways, we all know how that goes... I don't blame you on headspacing, I'd chec any new build, no matter who tells you otherwise. Flaws in the process can and do happen on occasion, and I'd rather be safe than dead.
  15. I assumed comm bloc @ least. I mean what type of bullet, what factory did it come from, what name is on the box; these are very important questions for 7.62x39. I'd consider buying a rifle for 1,000 rounds of Uly 8m3, brass case or not....
  16. How have I not seen this video before? Oh well, there goes the rest of my tax return; I'm thinking SSA-E Edit: Anyone know when the next holiday is?
  17. Nice build, I bet that set you back a good bit. Almost full NiB looks amazing, almost makes me wanna drop a month or two of paychecks into getting all my stuff coated.... So, how does it shoot?
  18. We all pitch in and we could all get it for a few days out of the year. Just pick-up and drop-off @ the corporate jet/warehouse
  19. Ares posted on their blog about it, that's the only other place I've seen it. Because of where it happened, the average person would probably never hear about it, even if they lived IN Chicago
  20. What about for a bench rifle, .308 20" heavy bbl; G2S,SSA,or SSA-E?
  21. Nice rifle, not too bad a price, either. Anyone know what kind of 7.62x39 it comes with?
  22. I'm glad you finally got her finished up, she looks great, bro! I'm with blue, I've always had a thing for Dragunovs and PSLs, and I've still got Sniper on VHS from back in my videostore days.... Anyways, let us know how she does, bro
  23. Beautiful rifle, man. Despite popular belief, and though it wasn't designed to be a precision rifle, you can get surprisingly tight groups with a well-maintained, well-built AK platform rifle. And those blondes tend to turn redder the older they get Edit: RIFLES, y'all, I like blondes and gingers equally
  24. I kick myself daily for not buying Atlantic's Saiga 12 with the Tromix brake and trigger group moved forward (along with several other bells & whistles) for around 1k. Now I can't even find one with the conversion. I will say I love my M91/30, and all my friends that have shot my WASR10-63M would trade their wives and gf's for her, or have tried at least :lmao:
  25. Frickin' sweet, almost makes me want to go buy a new phone just to inspect firearms with!
