Thanks again for the feedback Alpha. Like you I only shoot brass casings too. I've fired a couple of mags of steel to see how they worked and they worked fine but that is the only steel I will ever fire.

FYI ... I'm reading info. on the 7.62x39 page on FB about some bad extractors. I recently bought a "7.62x39 Super Duty Extractor" from http://www.shop.ar15hardware.com , made by Alpha Sooting Sports, Item #SD762EX @ $21.95 and it appears to be nickel boron in finish. Just thought Id put that on here in case you and/or anyone else has that problem. I haven't had to use it yet so I cannot verify how good it is but at least it's offered as such.

Maybe not but at least you CAN get them. Most folks have been sold out of ArmaLite parts, etc., for a while. Took me 6 weeks just to get a carry handle and that was from a vendor here in Texas on GB.

Thanks again. The .75 40L-SP is most likely my best choice. I'm going to shop around for a better idea on prices in anticipation of a good Memorial Day sale then be ready when it first kicks off.

Brownells shows 3 models of the 40L. They show a .75 MOA, .50 MOA, and another .75 MOA. Kind of pricey but they look well made. Obviously you get what you pay for. Beats Magpul by a long shot.

Got my honing compounds in today from Brownells and the ammo from PSA. Time to hone some scope mounts. Was notified today my card had been charged by Optics Planet for the new Nikon Blackforce 1000 scope I ordered earlier in April. Hopefully they are about to ship it out. Now all I have to do is get the right ADM mount for that scope.

Has anyone who has done a camo job ever painted the gas block area and had it peel off or burn off?

Currently on order: 1- Colt tactical front sling mount (used) 1- sling from DVOR 1- front & rear sight set from DVOR 1- A1 carry handle 1- set of honing compounds from Brownells 200 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 64 grain .223 from PSA Receiver hones and La Rue trigger came in today. Still waiting on my new Nikon

Thanks again for this recommendation. I have the honing compounds on order from Brownells which should arrive Tuesday. Now all I have to do is find the right speed on my drill press.
