  1. +1 ... perfectly articulated too
  2. Howdy Again ...

Just wondering if you've ever used the Aguila ammo in any caliber?

I'm trying to find some Speer LE 62 grain SP in .223 but it seems this is all out or extremely expensive.  If you have any ideas on this please le the know.

Thanks as always.  Hope all is well with you and your family.  I envy Yall's weather right now.

Thanks.  I've seen the Speer Gold Dot 55 but it's somewhat expensive.  I was looking for the Gold Dot 62 grain SP but if there aren't sold out they damned expensive.

I'll check PSA for some 55 grain today.

      Have a great weekend.

Often they run either free shipping with ten boxes or ten P-mag combo deal. Right now just $9.99 a box, not super cheap but then it is a premium ammo.

I'm about to head to the gun show to see if I can find the 62 grain Gold Dot at a reasonable price.  They are usually a buck a round.  If not then I'll come back here and see what else I can get form PSA.  They are out of the 62 (or 64) grain that I'm looking for.

      Thanks again !!!

  3. We don't want her moved on too fast. If she is charged and convicted before the Anointed One gets out of office he will pardon her like Ford did Nixon. If she is merely indicted then I understand she cannot get in to office but we don't want her pardoned. I want the wicked witch to do some time.

    Nut greese?

I've used Aeroshell 33. It's what's recommended but it's not absolute. Basically anything without a graphite content can be used.
  5. The "combloc" designation is cool but you don't know if they've thrown in parts for the AK or AR in 7.62x39. They also don't tell you if the ammo is steel or brass cased. I don't have an AK but I do have an AR in 7.62x39 and I'm trying to stick with brass casing. I'm sure that keeping it somewhat of a mystery box is part of the sales pitch.
  6. Works for me
  7. Welcome from Gulf Coast, Texas area. Enjoy the site.
  8. Sounds like they stocked up pretty good for the hunting season. Usually though (at least in the past) you could find an Academy, or Wal-Mart (might've changed) and/or any Mom & Pop sporting goods store and find 7.62x39 also, not to mention there has never been a gun show ever in Texas that I attended that somebody was not selling the 7.62x39 rounds. They do make for great hog rounds and are legal everywhere here in Texas for deer. Let me also point out that back during the last great unpleasantness in 2012, the local Academy here was long sold out of everything except 30-30, 30.06, 300 Win Mag, and 7.62x39 rounds. Believe it or not, the most rounds they had were 300 Win Mag. out of all those aforementioned, which is why if I ever get a bolt gun I'll most likely get one in that caliber.
  9. Me neither but it's 1 of the 3 main calibers we would most likely encounter from the UN and/or foreign invaders. The other reason I built all 3 calibers is because some hunts in Texas prohibit using anything under .30 caliber. 7.62x39 and .308 are excellent choices and the ammo can usually be found just about anywhere.
  10. DAMN ... both brilliant and graphic ...
  11. WELL DAMN ... IMAGINE THAT !!!
  12. I wish there was more offered for the .40 cal
  13. Damn nice gun. I love the use of OD green. How do you like the rear sight that you're using? I've thought about using one of those. Thanks for posting the photo.
  14. What size drill bit did you get to finally on the port size? Did you drill the barrel, the gas block, or both?
  15. I wonder if I could get away with simply using an A2 sight with the rifle length gas port? I've heard these configuration was problematic in the past. I cannot recall the reason stated as to why this was. I've been told the new concept is to use a faux A2 sight as a sight only with either a mid or carbine length low profile. Anyone have an idea as to why the A2 functioning at rifle length would be a problem? I own the Spikes setup above and it runs absolutely smooth and flawless.
  16. Thank you. Looks like I'm getting closer to the big decision yet.
  17. COOL ... thanks as that saves me some work. If that is the case then I'm sure the set screw piece sold by Fulton will work. I have one of theirs but it's for an AR15 pencil barrel. I'll just spend a few more bucks when I order the .308 BCG group from them and get the A2 sight at the same time.
  18. Next thing I need to consider is if I should use an adjustable low-profile gas block for the mid length mount? I have the Spikes AR15 unit shown above but it doesn't use an adjustable GB however I sense I may need some adjustability with the .308
  19. Thank you very much for the assistance. I got a notification yesterday from JSE Surplus about the FSB pulls being available however they have a mixed amount and will not allow you to specify or choose. I did not know about Armalite having such a critter but Fulton Armory does. I think the DPMS AP4 built up until a couple of years ago is the DPMS low you're taking about but I'm going to have to find one somewhere. They are hard to find undrilled. I'll take some measurements and see what happens as I have a DPMS AP4 .308 carbine barrel and one of the Fulton pieces for the AR15.
  20. I pretty much realized that but I'm trying to go as light as possible. Looks like 2.5 lbs. is what I will wind up with. I know DPMS offered the AP4 with the A2 sight. I'll measure one to see if a regular F-marked A2 sight will work. Fulton offers one using screws instead of pins. I might wind up using that since I'll be using the sight as a faux gas block.
  21. This is what I want to duplicate in .308 caliber. This is from AIM Surplus: Spikes Tactical 16" Mid-Length GMP 5.56/.223 URG SKU: XSTU5950MOE Spike's Tactical 16" Mid-Length GMP Dissapator style .223/5.56x45 caliber Complete Upper Receiver assembly for AR15/M16 type Rifles. This is a COMPLETE Upper receiver assembly, everything except a rear sight, and includes Magpul MOE heat shield lined Rifle length handguards. This AIM Exclusive upper receiver configuration features a 16" lightweight profile barrel, pinned mid-length gas system and "F" marked A2 Sight front sight base set at the Rifle length position. More info below. Front sight base will have a Stainless steel gas tube plug installed to prevent the handguard cap from rotating.
