  1. Don't get me wrong ... I LOVE FLORIDA ... but I know there's some funky stuff that happens there (as does everywhere) that seems to find it's way in to the media more often.
  2. And if none of the man-eating critters aren't bad enough, it's the lighting-strikes-people capitol of the whole USA. I knew a girl that once lived in Menna (I think that's the name) and she said folks get hit there all the time.
  3. That's about what I have now. I think it's a 10" or so Craftsman I bought years ago. I should have enough room to mount a small moveable mill table but it will be slow and tedious drilling a lot out first before I did minimal milling with the press. I'll shop around and see what's out there. We got some good sales coming up periodically throughout the rest of the year.
  4. Thanks again. I look forward to this.
  5. This really surprises me because back in 2010 my wife and I drove from Jacksonville down to Tampa to see her family for 2 days then drove back north to St. Augustine for a few days. Afterwards drove from there across the panhandle to overnight in Tallahassee. We drove all through the National Forest there to get to St. Augustine and it was a real pretty drive. Did not see one single gator the whole trip, dead or alive. I was looking for them too. Now I read about them in Disneyworld with this horror story. Unimaginable.
  6. Thanks for the assistance. I wonder if a small bench-mounted drill press would work until I got a good deal on a small mill?
  7. That's wild. Sounds like Jurassic Park - Orlando. I think they need to rethink the "over 4 ft. practice" of removal. We have them here in Texas but not to that extent. Now Bob ... if this makes you feel any better ... (LOL) ... Once when I was in El Paso I met a man who was retired from working for the City of El Paso. He swore from one end to the other that it wasn't long ago, the first thing he and a few other city workers had to do every morning was go to some city park there right off the Rio Grande and get the gators out of the park. I thought he was on something when he first told me that but he explained it was common for gators to swim all the way up the Rio Grande and once in El Paso they liked hanging out in the park ... (???) I still think it's surprising that Disney hasn't thought more about keeping them out of a place hat is built primarily for children.
  8. So I guess there are no fences or anything to keep them out of the park ... ??? That's a little risky for liability, if nothing else.
  9. I retire here June 30 and was thinking about doing the same thing to occupy some of my time. Where did you get the mini mill?
  10. What confuses me is who did that gator get in to Disneyworld anyway? Isn't there fences and such around that whole park?

Welcome from Gulf Coast Texas. Enjoy the site. Guard your wallet.
  12. I recall seeing on FB that there was a notice sent by ISIS/ISIL that there would be an attack somewhere in the USA within 3 days. It has been EXACTLY 3 days.
  13. Good reading indeed.
  14. I get your point but that ridiculous practice has backfired on the liberals as of late and they are starting to realize they need to try something else Regardless ... I don't put ANYTHING past this current communist regime, especially the outgoing Emperor.
  15. Not surprising. Everybody is going to have to be on alert now.
  16. First thing that pops in to my mind is how in the hell can you get those weapons in there? They either had non-observant/ignorant door men, he carried it in via a musical instrument box or gift box, or was a contract worker that once did work there and was able to cache' something somehow. It will be interesting to see the developing details.
  17. As of now, FOX is saying there is 50 killed and 53 wounded.
  18. Exactly what I've already read elsewhere about this. Somebody has already spoke up about the possibility of this being a "false flag". Reason this suspicion cited was they were very, very quick to point out specifically that an "AR15 and handgun was used". Crazy ass world that's coming to us.
  19. With the Anointed One in office there will never be retaliation that is sufficient. I have neither hope nor expectations of the lefties changing their views and ignorant ways. Stupid cannot be fixed. This is why we have to equip and train, and most definitely train our family members that may not have the level(s) of expertise and/or experience(s) we may have.
  20. AWESOME ... COOL SHIRT !!!

Did you ever use or try any of these back then?

Yes, we had one on a shotgun for deer hunting with marginal results. I'm sure Dad still has it packed away somewhere.

Sounds like it might be a waste of money.  Thanks for the assistance.

  24. Thank you for the information. I've never seen one even at a gun show. Never even heard of them. Blew my mind something like this was available in 1970. I didn't think that red dots and/or lasers come out until the 90(s).
