I fully sympathize with the situation in CA but I agree with you that it is better than nothing at this point. It will work until hopefully all this BS changes.

Welcome from Gulf Coast Texas. On the ArmaLite carry handle, just keep checking the ArmaLite website about every 5 days. I had to wait on mine for a while but they eventually got the front and rear sight set in.

Got 100 rounds of .308 new brass and 100 68 grain .224 on the way in. Got to get my loader soon.

I figure it's about right for the ArmaLite 11.25 twist.

I got some of that and cannot wait to try it in the AR10.

I'm just looking for something to keep in the vehicles in case we run in to riots here and gas is deployed. I know it may sound crazy but I've worked demonstrations, etc., on and off for the past 32+ years so I don't consider being a little more prepared as being out of the norm. With road closures and all that nonsense there is always the possibility of gas being deployed. I cannot very well operate the detour option on a nav system, drive, and dodge everything else while suffering gas, especially with my sinuses. Using a pair of goggles and bandana soaked with apple cider vinegar as a contingency is more complicated than putting on a simple mask and driving with it for a couple blacks or miles. $700-$800 is out of my range. I don't need to protect against iso-cyannide paints, just OC, CS/CN clouds.

Interesting the only place in Texas indicated is Austin. I bet that doesn't stay that way though. I guess I'll be driving my wife to work and back tomorrow.

Outstanding narrative from an obvious genius. I wish there was somewhere us older vets / retired LEO(s) could get some military combat arms training (at least that is what the USAF calls it). Not only would it be fun but certainly in the future there are times it may be needed. Police / LEO training is good but most of that is stuck on the 25 & 100 yard distances. Shoot and move is covered but I don't think it's like the armed forces provide in infantry training.

Outstanding point; a "sniper" is a professional specialist. This snotball was anything but professional. He was cowardly and lucky, IMHO.

It appears as though the sparks are coming from rounds bouncing off the stone/concrete columns. Kind of like flint hitting the steel on a flintlock.

Already this morning the communists in DC (Democrats) have called for more gun control, and assault weapons ban, etc. Cannot help but think this shooting is part of a grander plan. If it had been a conservative and Christian white male active shooter the Pelosi - Feinstein press corp would've been all over it. Obviously it's more censorship due to not fitting the Anointed One's narratives.
