Welcome from WI ! I hope you enjoy your build. I can tell you from first hand experience that the .308 AR is an awesome and deadly hunting weapon. I got my RRA LAR8 Predator HP 3 days before deer season last year, and took a huge whitetail buck with it opening day. Terminal performance was great, a clean ethical kill. If you do not handload, I used FGMM 168grain Sierra Matchking BTHP with a 3/4" group at a hundo from a factory rifle. Great hunting ammo, accurate and not expensive. Good luck!!
