  1. This week has been the anniversary of The Battle of Nijmegen or Liberation of Nijmegen occurred in the Netherlands from 17 to 20 September 1944, as part of Operation Market Garden during World War II. The town this general was born in and likely at the river bank where his father tried to kill nazis.
  2. So sorry to hear that your forced to deal with this tragedy
  3. Saudi's are no ones friend and have a firm foot in each camp while playing one side off against the other.
  4. I suspect it's not so much the equipment's fault as to the operators and what the system is set up to detect. Like many alarm systems there are 'filters' that are set to ignore nuisance detections( bird flocks or wildlife). The more sensitive the more monitoring that is required.
  5. The fish are just a bonus, to a great day on the water,
  6. Interesting, here the unelected senate is appointed by the federal party in power with no requirement to listen to anyone. The last batch was some media personalities, a sports star and party faithful( big donors) , their main purpose is to rubber stamp legislation
  7. As an outsider I find the US Constitution a brilliant document and demonstrated by forethought of the founding fathers to install checks and balances. Unlike Americans I actually do not directly vote for my country's leader, our Senate is appointed not elected( Americans recognized this issue hence the 17th amendment), once in power there is little oversight of a majority government in Canada.
  8. Thanks applies even more up her, gun laws are federal government rather than provincial
  9. Brilliant Airsoft not a problem up here. Ironically about 1/3 of my stuff I couldn't bring with me if I moved stateside( half if I chose to go to California)
  10. Thanks sketch but I have my hart set on the ones pictured... pretty sure it will give some precious snowflake a meltdown
  11. It's probably cheaper to disable a stripped lower, the problem isn't getting solid cast or 80% into Canada but getting it out of the USA. The solid cast is an ITAR controlled item, so as a general rule I can get a stripped lower for about the price of an 80% here so not a big market for incomplete lowers. I'm hoping the item is a single piece cast 'cause assembling one from spare parts will add up pretty quick not to mention the temptation to 'borrow' parts for builds
  12. You never know how much ammo you have till you move
  13. Well I'd like to think as an electrician I could get the light to work or at least get an apprentice to sort it out. Ironically if we used any actual AR lower( even PSA) I'd have to trigger lock and secure the lampstand As long as the lower is an AR it's considered a restricted class firearm, even if it's a single shot bolt action upper. Hoping these are a one piece casting.
  14. It's a toss up either he told an Air Force joke they didn't like or it's a date he never called back
