@shepp inspired me. Did a 8.8lb shoulder over the weekend. No wrap. Today we dine on pulled pork pizza. Deeeeelish! Didn't get the money shot. Family was hungry.

👍 Got you. I was impressed when I noticed the bolt was etched with the SN of the rifle. One barrel, one bolt...

I began to tinker with my new(to me) rifle and tried to chamber one of my hand loads. Bolt would not close. No biggie. These round have had the shoulder bumped back 0.005" from fire form in a different rifle. I understand that they may not chamber in this one. I also noticed markings on the bullet from the throat of the chamber. So for shitz and kicks I wanted to see where the lands start with this particular projectile. Using my "Bubba" COAL gauge (sized 308 case with slots cut into the mouth), I got a much shorter distance to the land than my other 308's. So I kept going. I tried my Clymer "GO" headspace gauge. That sucker will not go into battery. Are these Savages (hehehe) known for having a tight chamber? Do I need to be concerned? Factory rounds chambered just fine. Even some of my handloads chambered, but not all. The plan is to fire form some factory rounds and go from there.

$hit that I do "in between" all the other projects at my place
Boot_Scraper replied to Rsquared's topic in Club House
I can imagine the next owners of your place. Wife nagging the husband about the dryer not working, husband looking confused as fuqq. Nice project though. Overkill is just enough in my book. -
Sure does. I'm usually looking for a replacement trigger before I even buy a rifle/pistol. Not with this one. It's perfect.

Welp, I been hankering for a short barrel bolt gun. Liked the Remington 700 Tactical in the 16.5" flavor. Found a good deal on one but let it slip. Then the Ruger Hunter caught my eye for a second. I love the feel of the Magpul Hunter stocks and the Ruger comes with it. As fate would have it, a Savage Model 10PT just so happened to show up on my phone. Figured this would be a great deal and quench my want for a new bolt gun. 308, 18 inch heavy barrel, 1.5 lb trigger<--- almost scary. I plan on adding the Magpul hunter stock when they become available the summer. Anybody have thoughts on the Savage Model 10? Good, bad, or ugly?

A suspected Covid-19 male patient is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose. A young student female nurse appears and gives him a partial sponge bath. "Nurse,"' he mumbles from behind the mask, "are my testicles black?" Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, "I don't know, Sir. I'm only here to wash your upper body and feet." He struggles to ask again, "Nurse, please check for me. Are my testicles black?" Concerned that he might elevate his blood pressure and heart rate from worrying about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and pulls back the covers. She raises his gown, holds his manhood in one hand and his testicles gently in the other. She looks very closely and says, "There's nothing wrong with them, Sir. They look fine." The man slowly pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her, and says very slowly, "Thank you very much. That was wonderful. Now listen very, very, closely: Are - my - test - results - back?"

Weber kettle. I love this little charcoal pit. Pork chops and jalapeno cheddar venison/pork sausage.

Now that's how you surf-n-turf! @98Z5V @DNP As for the "beyond meat", maybe try soaking in garlic and running them on a trot line. Catfish will eat anything and they're delicious. I once saw a giant flathead, floating because he tried to eat a basketball.

Alright, you talked me into it. I'll be doing that real soon.

Well...sh!t....gubbnah shut the state down to essential workers only. Maybe 2A is still considered essential. 🤞🏻 -
I read that title wrong. Wheewww. For a second there I thought I was on that other AR forum.

FFL transfers 86’d?!

None at all. But I believe fear is the reason for the season. Once fear gets you, the primal instincts take over and logic sits in the backseat. I'll admit it, I'm a little nervous myself, prepared, but still nervous. The Fakebook, tweety birds, and media ain't helping the situation. But, they are providing some decent memes. Guess there's always a bright side. -
OH man, I needed that! LMFAO

Just watch a you2b video stating that TN isn’t allowing guns to be transferred. I’m not trying to start rumors or fan the fire of hysteria, but can anyone else confirm? I ordered a new Ruger Mk IV 22/45 before this sh!t went down and I getting a bad feeling that I won’t be enjoying it any time soon.

Dpms g2 equivalent?
Boot_Scraper replied to kayak's topic in DPMS LR-308 General, Technical Discussion
I’m thinking Daniel Defense DD5 V3, but bring your big checkbook. Savage makes the MSR10 that is a smaller frame 308AR. I came close to buying the Savage a few times but it’s always more fun when you DIY. -
I run Armaspec in both my 308AR and 358 Yeti AR. It sounds stupid, but I went with the "SCS" concept to avoid the noise of the buffer weights when picking the rifle up. They both shoot very well. I had to add a washer on my 308 to get the correct extension depth. We hunt very educated and spooky deer in La. Any noise the they're gone. I hunt the thick stuff and they get pretty close. Check out Armaspec. They are half the price of Jp and accomplish the same result. I had a Jp in my R-25.
