  1. Sorry to hear, Dogs are always faithful and they just don't stay with us long enough. I seen your post on Arboristsite, seems like you joined the same year as me.
  2. That's neat as all get out. thanks for that link..iron sights are awesome and I agree the best, but when the eyes get old and tired and don't focus like they used to a scope is best for longer shooting.
  3. Neat find, Would like to find one of those. 👍
  4. Thanks for the offer, we can get them here, but everyone I have planted outside has not made it. I have never seen one here outside. Probably would make it in a greenhouse.. Speaking of too much rain, hurricane Barry is headed straight up Arkansas through Louisiana. I hope everyone there will be safe. they say we might get 6 inches of rain.
  5. I doubt they are going to change calibers on their main battle rifle any time soon. the cost would be enormous.
  6. Wasn't too hot yesterday, our humidity was down, but before that it felt like a sauna. upper 90's with high humidity. The time I was in Arizona and California it was hot but low humidity, it didn't feel to bad. I used to could take the really hot and humid days but the older I get the more it bothers me. I think them big cactus plants ya'll have are pretty cool. I would love to have one but don't think they would make it in the winter. plus it probably rains here too much for one.
  7. I went for a couple hours yesterday, found two buffalo nickels and another horse shoe.
  8. He was fine.
  9. don't know, i'll see if I can find more on it.

  12. You know it's going to be another hot day when the AC comes on at 4 in the morning.
  13. Wish I had something on order.😟
  14. Now that is funny.. if you ever been to a civil war re-enactment you know how loud those things were, well I guess any large gun would be of any age.
  15. Congrats to him, Great job on teaching them young.
  16. Good article, thanks for the link.
  17. It can be, it's pretty good exercise. These new ones tell you about what it is. they're not always right and i'm having to learn to use the digital readouts but I enjoy it. it's too hot right now. in the upper 90's.
  18. Made a bag out of my old hunting waist worn bag, I had always hunted with a small trowel but at the field a shovel is much easier. the red root slayer hasn't been used yet. but next trip it will. I also have ruined the knees on a few pants so now I wear knee pads.
  19. I found a Civil war confederate campsite and have been hunting it. they are clearing it for a friggin sub division. it's been huntd a bunch of times but I found a few old bullets and a forged mule shoe.
  20. Detectors have come a long way since I bought those, so a couple months ago I bought a garret AT pro and a Bounty Hunter Land Ranger pro. Haven't got to use them much yet.
  21. Some silver coins I found with those old ones.
  22. Any of you like doing this. I have been since 1990. bought a Compass and a whites detector. I found a lot of stuff with them. Kinda stopped for about ten years and my son in law got me doing it again with him.
  23. Now we gotta see the bumper sticker.
