  1. That’s truth right there. I can’t believe the sheer amount of shitt that is still out of stock. I rejoined big daddy unlimited earlier this month, their website is no bullpoopy 2/3 or more sold out. Seems like everything is hard to find. On the waiting side of life, like you said, it sucks and we can’t do a damn thing about it. My BCG should be here any day now, but zero word on my barrel or LaRue rail. It’s killing me at this point not being able to build this fuker yet. Got the lower built up Sunday, so that’s good to go. Just need these damn upper parts I’m waiting on to ship.
  2. I’m all in on this idea, it’s fantastic. Who doesn’t want to see an explosive little car roaming the desert? I see this instantly turning into a competition, who can hit the roaming car first.
  3. Now you know he of all people can’t get one of those. He’ll end up on the news for either attaching a rifle to it or turning it into a roaming claymore mine
  4. Alright, it’s official gents, the race is on now baby. Just ordered a BCG and BA 18” @98Z5V pattern barrel (they call it the SPR profile, fuk that, it will forever be the 98 profile in my book). @Rsquared threw me a solid ass care package, Geissele SSA-E trigger and an Armalite LPK (of course it’s Armalite, we all know he wouldn’t even look at something else). Got an A2 stock kit arriving Thursday, so should have the lower completed this weekend. At that point, just waiting on the Barrel and Rail to arrive so I can assemble the fuker! I emailed BA about getting the barrel direct from them, they checked my drivers license and since it didn’t read @98Z5V, referred me to Brownells website to order it . Hopefully that won’t turn into waiting a month to get a barrel.
  5. You know what, that’s 100% true and fair . I was straight trying to bait you into giving it a test run, and instead got kicked in the nuts myself haha. I still maintain I’m excited as shitt for my build, even if I hadn’t planned on building one. I also for sure appreciate you taking the fall with me my brother, your insight on ideas and parts has been invaluable . I’ll owe you a bunch of beer later this year for the help.
  6. Oh for sure. I can’t really complain, I’m gonna end up with a bad ass DMR here shortly. Gotta keep your guard up at all time, otherwise they’ll convince you to drain your wallet.
  7. Ah another person learning about “the rule” the hard way. Consider yourself lucky, at least yours is just an optic, my lesson on the rule is building a 6mm ARC. Also, I never got a 24-48 hour window. Doc hit me with that shitt instantly
  8. You’re a brave man my brother, 117 is well past my cut off. I’ll be interested to hear the results though.
  9. Nice. That was my thought as well, figured it’s difficult to mess up rifle buffers. I’m getting more and more pumped for this round fellas, I think I luck boxed my way into a seriously nasty rifle. Kotaboy put out another good video on 6mm this afternoon, he went deep into the ballistics, comparing it with real world numbers against 308 and 6.5 Grendel. He seems completely sold on 6mm already. Worth a watch if you have a few mins to kill.
  10. I’m curious if you guys have any experience with this package https://www.opticsplanet.com/leapers-utg-model-15-standard-a2-butt-stock-assembly-black-rb-t469b.html This same set is on Big Daddy Unlimited right now for $43.99. I know Leapers UTG is lower end stuff for the most part, but just curious if anyone has tried out their rifle length buffer and spring? $44 is a hard price to beat if their buffer stuff is within spec and functions fine, considering it includes the stock and recoil parts. I had planned on trying an A1 stock setup, but it’s about $100 for an A1 stock and buffer parts from just about anywhere.
  11. This picture makes me happy on so many levels
  12. I know the rifle is the dreaded...CMM. I can’t even say the whole word, for fear of what might happen. Don’t care about the rifle, only care about the round. According to this guy @98Z5V, he’s getting just over 2600FPS from a 16” gun. I can’t wait to see what the 18” does
  13. Nice! I appreciate you doing the footwork on that for me brother, couple of weeks isn’t bad for me since I still need to get a barrel and bolt. Now though, the UU kit...man that stings. It’s gonna totally be worth it, but man that wait is gonna be painful. I only have the stripped upper and lower sitting here and I’m chompin at the bit to build the fuker.
  14. Nice looking lower, full blown LaRue rifle is gonna be bad ass. I ordered the 12” rail from them, but it’s back ordered. Been so busy with other shitt, haven’t had a chance to email them and find out estimated ship date.
  15. I can confirm that all day, he’s for sure part machine. Like @DNP said, he’ll have short term reboots from time to time, but actual sleep? Hell no. He can somehow stay up most of the night, and still make it to work by 6-7 am the next day. I don’t have a fukin clue how he does it. I’m the complete opposite. I sit down to watch a movie, feeling good and awake. Next thing I know I’m waking up to the ending credits. I can’t stay awake for shitt.
  16. Nice! Those are solid little Red Dots from my experience. I have one on my AR9, its performed well and survived being bounced around. I like the shake awake feature, can just leave it on and don't have to worry about draining the battery, granted the battery is rated for 50,000 hours or something crazy.
  17. LaRue 12" Quad Rail, Ordered.
  18. That thing turned out looking good my man, I like it. Reading this thread, I see it’s been a bitch to get together, but it looks like it should be worth it. Random side note, I personally love the look of steel mags. Can’t beat the PMags for reliability, but the steel ones always look cooler.
  19. We really need more public service announcements about this, bring more awareness to the danger of losing weapons while boating.
  20. Been looking at lower parts this morning, even though the plan is still to build the upper first. Eventually it’s gonna be a fixed stock lower, A1 or A2, haven’t decided yet. My question though is do we think a standard rifle buffer and spring will handle the 6mm? Or will I have to do some form of Vltor A5 setup?
  21. BCM upper showed up today, already had the Spikes Tactical lower in the safe. Now just gotta get a barrel and rail heading this way Just like @DNP said, the scratch and dent BCM upper is a steal for the price. Couple scratches on it, that’s it. No real defects at all that I see. I’ll certainly mark it up worse by throwing it around then how it came from BCM.
  22. Well shitt. Now I’m gonna have to expedite buying a barrel or the LaRue rail. I can’t be bringing up the rear, not after the amount of shitt I’ve talked already
  23. Well fuk, now I’m the one behind. I only have a stripped upper ordered so far
  24. Oh we can make that happen my brother. We can make that happen all day
  25. I like the look of that. I like the rail, and I definitely like the look of flash cans.
