  1. 😆 Yeah, I thought that was just too funny not to share. And those people are in charge? No wonder they think killing 90-95% of the worlds population is a good thing. They're all nuts. Where do they find such garbage? FWIW, I looked for a puking emoticon but all I could find was a green nauseous face and that didn't quite work.
  2. Cursor down and turn up the volume! https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/01/wth-world-economic-forum-entertainment-freak-show-video/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=the-gateway-pundit&utm_campaign=dailypm&utm_content=2023-01-20
  3. Exactly MikedaddyH! I expect the rule to be thrown out. But if not I'll pay the $200 and not be subject to the 120 day excrement. I'm working on converting my arm braced handguns to pure handguns and after I have the stamps in hand rebuild them. One is already converted, I need minor parts for the other.
  4. I'm not going to check it now, but if I remember correctly the hinge part also has a retention detent that protrudes when the hinge is swung open preventing the BCG extension from coming out. It's fairly bulletproof. Just don't push the actuator button when it's swung open 'cause that's how the extension comes out for disassembly.
  5. I didn't know about the 88 days. But what I did get from the new rule was that it has to be registered in 120 days. Now maybe I'm misunderstanding that, or maybe it isn't being reported accurately, but if I submit a form I expect to be waiting for at least 6 months and probably much longer before I see my tax stamp. last I checked 120 days was approx' 4 months, so at the very best I'll miss the 120 days by 2 months.
  6. I have one on mine and it works fine with both supersonic and subsonic loads. Like you JMJ I had concerns about function with the added weight but my concerns turned out to be unfounded. It still makes no sense to me that it didn't cause problems. Shooterrex, Yeah, I could see where if someone doesn't build their AR correctly and does the floating buttstock hold where it could be an issue.
  7. Welcome to the forum from central Maine!
  8. I hope Gaetz's bill gains traction, but mentally slow joe will never sign it. Maybe just not giving ATF any $ in budget would do it? But I admit that I know nothing about the budget process. FWIW, I am trying to e-file for my arm braces to SBR them and it's a very bloody abortion of a process. I have no idea how BARF could have made it more difficult, but with very little effort they could have made it exceedingly easy. But clearly that wasn't the point of e-file or it would have been easier to accomplish. fjb and f BARF.
  9. I know you don't have the answer, and it's really rhetorical, How can they be so stupid? Maybe they just listened to bubba and spent no time on the rule? Heck, the barf (intentionally misspelled) even gave pictures to illustrate. I know there were 9mm ARs in the pix. 98Z'- I'd like to see the barf people involved in this all receive charges, but I know that'll never happen. It continues to happen because there are never any consequences. So they continue to pile onto the swill trough and use our $ against us. Evil SOBs!
  10. I ordered the wrong parts from Power Custom, so they have been returned. More Power Custom trigger parts on order. Randall at PC tells me they are the correct parts this time. That will complete that SBR build 3(?) years after beginning it. Yeah, I'm almost never in a rush when it comes to "perfecting" my firearms. I still need to sight it in. Things on order... well sorta. I'm working on 2 (or more*) efile SBR tax stamps for arm braced handguns. Trying to get fingerprinted today. It would be nice if I can get digital file prints so that I don't need to go through this every time I want an NFA item. I digitized my mug the other day so that I no longer need to get passport pix taken. *I haven't decided yet if I'm going to buy a few more lowers and register them to save the $200 tax.
  11. So as usual congress screwed it up 80 years ago and the people pay the price. The barf (Intentionally mispelled), rumored to be the low scorers on the civil servants test, don't question what they're doing, they just try to maintain their power.
  12. Which one? Left or right? I hope female but one never knows today.
  13. Why not use a regular base sizing die?
  14. Yeah, I figured it was a case of mistaken identity. That's the problem with local names, they can be very confusing. And who of us are going to use the species names that can't be confused? Nobody.
  15. Maybe there is another type of red squirrel that is larger. Ours are also called pine squirrels. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_red_squirrel
  16. Yes. Red squirrels are slightly larger than chipmunks. I'd eat them only if I was starving. They're a nuisance.
  17. Reminds me of the year (sorta) where I'd had enough of the red squirrels coming out of the forest and raiding my bird feeding station. I lost count at over 100 meeting their maker that year and they still came with seemingly the same numbers as they began the shooting season. The coyotes learned very quickly where I was throwing their carcasses. So I had a coyote feeding station as well. I never had the patience to wait for them to show up.
  18. Yes, what I saw were finishing shots but I didn't want to write that. The last one looks suspiciously like one to the head. I sure hope the cops and DA like him, but it's Houston and the comments stated that it's a Soros bought and paid for DA. He should get a medal, but I think he's screwed. They can charge him whenever they like if they charge him with murder. If I was on the foreman on that Grand Jury I might try to swing the votes.
  19. Dittos, squirrel is delicious. Maybe keep feeding them and save them for hard times? You might not have long to wait.
  20. Here's the video that picks up where the customer starts shooting. Yeah, he does LOTS of shooting. Might put him in deep kimchee in certain places. But the video isn't really clear when the actual threat stops, at least to my eye. He could still be trying to get to his firearm at the last shot(s). Cursor down in the link. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/01/robbery-suspect-shot-dead-armed-customer-houston-taqueria-video/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=the-gateway-pundit&utm_campaign=dailyam&utm_content=2023-01-08
  21. I wonder if the use of range brass makes the difference? SB dies exist for a reason and IMO that reason exists for a base that's too large to chamber. A semi-auto has virtually no camming power to force a too large cartridge into the chamber, so it must fit correctly. I don't want any mistakes in that regard that could sideline my firearm. So far I only shoot competitively and not when lives are on the line. But even there I don't want my shooting to end for the day or screw up a stage and then go find a safe table so that I can fix something that never should have happened. Toward that end I no longer use SB dies but something even better that sizes the range brass from immediately above the rim. A die doesn't reach down that far. http://casepro100.com/products.ydev I still run my brass through a sizing die to decap, but the actual sizing happens in the Casepro. I started this post by stating that SB dies exist for a reason. That reason could be to make $. But I've had some range brass go through the Casepro and I could feel additional resistance in some of the brass going through it. I don't remember if it was 9mm or the .223 family that gave that added resistance. I've never had a cartridge fail to chamber due to oversized brass before or since using the Casepro. But that doesn't prove that what I'm doing is the correct thing to do either so maybe I'm going overboard.
  22. Not hearing the shot is very common. It's called auditory exclusion which is just a $10 set of words meaning not hearing the shot. But damage still happens even if the brain tunes it out. Other things that can happen is time dilation and tunnel vision.
  23. No review yet of the steel version (above), but here's one for the polymer version. https://www.ssusa.org/content/review-canik-sfx-rival-9-mm/
  24. For the girlfriend... This would be a pussycat and the Rival comes with a trigger that not even I would want to improve. Maybe not the best carry gun since it's in steel. https://www.recoilweb.com/first-look-canik-sfx-rival-s-178022.html?utm_campaign=286338_Recoil newsletter 1%2F6%2F23&utm_medium=email&utm_source=DotDigital&dm_i=7C6R,64XU,3I2VPD,UKTC,1
  25. Yeah, that wouldn't have fit in with the goal of the design. I started with a Charger pistol (10" barrel) for simplicity and had the Ghost M can that I use on it. So why change the barrel? I was disappointed in the accuracy. It was/is OK for steel challenge but not accurate enough to suit me.
