    Got a Remington 700 BDL Heavy Barrel Varmint. I want to add a picatinney so i can use a QD scope mount. I see there is a lot to choose from with prices at both ends of the spectrum. I dont neccassarily need 20moa built in 10-15 is probably fine. I will get a 20moa if thats what it takes to get the best mount. Thoughts? Suggestions?

    additionally refering to them incorectly complicates conversations about parts compatabilities. There is not standard among the 308's Also think of it this way you can have a Remington 700 and a Winchester Model 70 both chambered in the same caliber. While they look similar they are two different beasts.

    AR-10 is a model designation of an Armalite rifle. So the only AR-10 is an Armalite. Refering to all 308 AR's as AR-10's is incorrect DPMS "LR-308" KAC "SR-25" RRA "LAR 308" Larue "OBR" Armalite "AR-10" Think Ford Corvette

    Those are reference marks so you can put your accessories and optics in the same place every time for repeatability.
