    Revolvers

The shop where I bought my Kimber 1911 had about 25 percent new revolvers. Interestingly if there was one branded represented more than the rest it was Taurus and mostly those specialized hand cannons. I think some of the issue is with the younger generation who is inspired by military service and even possibly video games has zero interest in revolvers and even worse 1911 with wood grips or any gun with wood for that matter.
  9. DPMS is not known for consistency. ;D I have no idea if the ORC is an exact 1:1 for any DPMS model. My point was that maybe your Bushmaster has a JP in it or something else as part of that models spec for Bushmaster.
  10. FNH Herstal has had layoffs, Freedom Group Announced layoffs, we are seeing AR-15's for $650, plentiful inexpensive ammo..... What a difference two years makes.
  11. No first hand experience with the Armalite carrier but by the data I have researched you can use either carrier on both platforms as long as you use the proper bolt to match the extension type. I look forward to hearing back on what you observe. BTW I would love to have some pictures of the two BCG's side by side for comparison
  12. Welcome man <thumbsup>
  13. Yes the triggers are single stage on the R-25. A DPMS employee once wrote that the trigger they include is just so you can shoot the gun when you get it home. They encourage purchasers to select one of the JP options they offer. They dont expect folks to keep the stock crap trigger. Maybe he has a JP in his Bushmaster
  14. Keep in mind its just the bolt you need and not a complete bolt carrier group
  15. Magpul got back to me on my suggestion. "Thank you for the product suggestion" <lmao>
  16. Perhaps its special because it's dimpled for three set screws? <laughs>
  17. Of course with DPMS selling $100 gas block they perhaps need to invent a reason. I like Fulton Armory more each day.
  18. Well Jon at the DPMS forum I believe stated they are different. I guess I need to order a block after I verify the the taper is fact or fiction
  19. They are different. You must use the correct bolt to match the extension
  20. The gas port is about .237 from the shoulder.
  21. If theres a taper its in the tenths as in 4 decimal places. Ill need to use better tools than I have here at my pc. Ill check it tomorrow
  22. Actually DPMS makes them both. Maybe just start there
  23. interesting, the lrg3m14pmag <laughs>
  24. going out of memory, I believe the barrel was .936 where the gas block mounts. The gas port is about .300 from the shoulder on the barrel to the center of the gas port.
