  4. I have the same mount. I like it very much. Im waiting on a 13.2 FFHG from Larue for my Sporter. I hope they send a new hat, mine is getting shabby
  5. to quote the Tubes, She's a beauty. I have a vtac on an AR and love it. I wanted it for my LR-308 but the back order was indefinite
  6. A friend had I minor incident last year with a fishook. It was a bit of a wake up call. I also have a full blown woodshop in the basement. So Ive decided I need to do something. I did get the bandages with quick clot in them while at Cabelas. At the end of this thread I would like to work on a list and maybe sources.
  7. Behind the seat of my pickup I keep a Daiwa 4' Micro Ultra light armed with a 2" Black and Gold Rapala Original Floating Minnow. I use this lure nearly 75% of the time for Trout and Bass here in New England. Last year I started using a similar minnow from Yo-Zuri and had fantastic results. Ill look up the model numbers later
  8. Im horribly prepared for any sort of emergency. Im trying to be better prepared and to assemble a first aid/emergency kit for each vehicle. My logic is that we are always with one of the vehicles whether home or out. We also travel some back country snow covered roads in upstate NY an Vermont so Im including signal devices, space blankets and fire starters etc. Im acquiring stuff that "I think I need" Im wondering what you folks keep around and welcome suggestions. First Aid: Emergency Preparedness: Automotive:
  9. Thats awesome, thanks for going through the trouble
  10. I would skip the wood filler, that wood is going to move quite a bit and eventually the filler will pop out in random places. I often put masonite on my bench tops. When it gets crappy replace it.
  11. Ah I see. I hope you heal up good and get back too 100%.
  12. I believe its more current..and free
  13. Welcome Matt.Cross
  14. Interesting stuff. Has anyone else shot it? results similar? Have you shot it with buis? not sure if I mentioned this before but Millet had some issues with their tactical scopes (LRT,TRS) just prior to Bushnell taking them over. I think it was a few discussions on the SWFA forum.
  15. i ended up with all the parts to assemble my own. I think it cost me $400. Before I could assemble it i sold it to a guy who needed it to complete his build. Im a sucker for a sob story. Anyhow it worked out in my favor that FA had gotten theirs in like a week later. It only cost me $349
  16. This is what it looks like up close and personal
  17. JP promises kept falling short for me. I gave up on them when I was looking.
  18. Did you try Fulton Armory?
  19. Do you conceal carry two desert eagles <munch>
  20. nice stuff Draco41 so maybe I should just save up for a Sako TRG at Botach ;D A good friend just picked one up last week
  21. I just choked on my Mylanta ;D
  22. Please tell me how you ended up here whether from a link or search engine etc. The more detail you can give the better. This information helps me to perform tasks that will help generate more members. Thanks!
  23. Well the upper and the ejection port cover headed out to US Anodizing today. The wait begins. Victor is awesome to deal with.
  24. Im thinking it would be a great project to get a custom barreled action, pick out my own stock etc, or am I better off getting the entire package from a builder? I think I something bigger then .308 but with ammo thats readily available and accurate. .308 is not out of the question though. Any thoughts, opinions and advice would be appreciated.
