    My 1993 Colt Sporter has a kind of gray looking anodizing. Does anyone manufacture flattop uppers this color as opposed to the black anodized hardcoat teflon used today? Is there a matching durable coating that can go over a new upper? I prefer not to alter the Colt's lower.

    Actually quite a few AR-15 triggers work in the .308's. One of the biggest issues is clearance between the hammer and carrier. That said I prefer a trigger that the manufacturer specifies for .308's

    Notice the DPMS picture. Those legs might be spreading too far and are not compressing to go through the second hole

    Have you tried the pin without the firing pin in place? Does the split end still fit its hole? Try it from the outside directly and not through the carrier. Is the pin distorted anywhere? Can you measure the diameter and look and look for an anomaly. Was it difficult to remove?

    Maybe if you measure how far your charging handle moves to the rear someone with a .308 PRS can measure the distance to the cheek piece.
