  1. I get most everything though MidwayUSA that I can. They're huge supporters of the NRA, and I have a friend who works on their database team - he says it's the best copany on the world he can imagine working for. Plus they have a huge inventory and their prices are usually real good.
  2. First, Welcome! Re: RRA -- IMHO, RRA are top-quality rifles. I don't know if .308 is too big for CQB, but for home defense I would be weary because of how you'll penetrate walls.
  3. Wow, sure seems like the intellectual property and copyright infringement battle is forever in the arms industry...

  9. This one is in the running right now, but I'm still looking. Link to Bulldog Cases
  10. What do you guys recommend? My DPMS is 43.5" overall.
  11. Good stuff man, sounds right on. What I will do is break it down and CLP the typical stuff. I will bring a bore snake and CLP with me and run the snake through at some frequency I think is right, maybe wipe the action once or twice while I'm out there as well. I'm just waiting on my scope to arrive, but with the SHOT show coming up next week, I might have to wait until February...
  12. I was told on another forum that this Senator wasn't as anti-gun as reported by the media (wow, the media lied?!?). So, take the story with a grain of salt.

  22. If I don't plan on going out farther than say 500 yards, what power should I be looking for? Will 4-16x50 do the trick?
  23. Might as well continue this conversation here, in case anybody else wants to chime in. My buddy has 2 DPMS LR-308's, and a Savage 308 that he will be shooting F-class competition with. He has a SEALS scope on one of the LRs and on his Savage and can't say enough good things about them. He has shot them countless times in 100-degree temps without the haze others have mentioned. As a matter of fact, I've shot his bolt gun with the SEALS scope and it was a quality piece of glass. I'm leaning that way, mostly due to the price and personal experience with them. And, I have indeed talked to him at a couple of local gun shows.
  24. Anti-Gun Senator Shoots Intruder http://www2.timesdispatch.com/rtd/news/national/article/74-year-old_n.c._state_senator_shoots_wounds_intruder_at_his_home/287987/P10/ Aug 24, 2009 Long time Anti-Gun Advocate State Senator R.C. Soles, 74, shot one of two intruders at his home just outside Tabor City, N.C. about 5 p.m. Sunday, the prosecutor for the politician's home county said. The victim, Kyle Blackburn, was taken to a South Carolina hospital, but the injuries were not reported to be life-threatening, according to Rex Gore, district attorney for Columbus, Bladen andBrunswick counties.. The State Bureau of Investigation and Columbus County Sheriff's Department are investigating the shooting, Gore said. Soles, who was not arrested, declined to discuss the incident Sunday evening. "I am not in a position to talk to you," Soles said by telephone. "I'm right in the middle of an investigation." Soles, a top-ranking Democrat and the longest-serving member of the legislature, already was the subject of an SBI investigation over sexual misconduct allegations with former male clients. (Now, that sounds more like a liberal to me). The Senator, who has made a career of being against gun ownership for the general public, didn't hesitate to defend himself with his own gun when he believed he was in immediate danger and he was the victim. In typical hypocritical liberal fashion, the "Do As I Say And Not As I Do" Anti-Gun Activist Lawmaker picked up his gun and took action in what apparently was a self-defense shooting. Why hypocritical, you may ask? It is because his long legislative record shows that the actions that he took to protect his family, his own response to a dangerous life-threatening situation, are actions that he feels ordinary citizens should not have if they were faced with an identical situation. It has prompted some to ask if the Senator believes his life and personal safety is more valuable than yours or mine. But this is to be expected from those who believe they can run our lives, raise our kids, and protect our families better than we can.
  25. Nope, I need some help on the glass. My buddy has a couple of those SEALS scopes, and really likes them. Do you guys know anything about them?
