  1. I wondered about the hammer pin too. Not so much for the long range paper assassin, but more for the high speed steel slapper.
  2. I'm a firm believer that a barrel should have the longest gas system that'll fit. 16" rifle length systems (Fulton Armory) and 12.5" mid length systems (WarSport LVOA) have both been done successfully.
  3. I want this in something akin to GoogleGlass.
  4. This is the guys website... http://www.rockinhcutlery.com/ It's not very informative, but it's there. The guy who makes the knives, Larry Henderson, is an older cowboy with an artistic eye for detail. I think his wife made him a FB page, but he admits to knowing nothing about computers. He had some phenomenal looking Bowies as well. I'll grab a picture of the backstrap on this knife tonight. I just need to put a better edge on it before hunting season.
  5. Most armor plates have two distinct shapes; Advanced Shooters Cut (ASC) or Swimmers Cut. They are often curved to contour to the body better. Front and Rear Plates come in three common sizes; (Sm)8"x10", (Med)10"x12" and (Lrg)11"x14" Side Plates come in two common sizes; 6"x6" and 6"x8" Most plate carriers will take the Sm and Med plates, whether or not they state that. The carriers that accept the Lrg plates will generally make a specific note to say so. Soft Armor also has different shapes and sizes.
  6. That's the next plan. I'm looking at an AR10T that needs a HUGE weight loss plan. I'm thinking a complete barrel job, cut/crown/thread and flute or recontour. Then maybe turn it into a Dissipator.
  7. SS, I think I saw you out there recently...
  8. I talk to MechArmor regularly enough, and know enough about their contracts, to be on the positive side of this. I should be on the horn in a few days. I'm definitely interested in an affordable Gamma Plate.
  9. Damnit all
  10. Or the KX5-7.62 for that 13.7"???
  11. Best meet up ever. It will only get better next time!! We just need gimpy to heal up and earn some vacation time.
  12. I always wear an undershirt. Either a tshirt or a "wife beater". I don't always wear all three. If I'm in shorts and a tshirt, I just tuck the Walther... maybe toss the Derringer in my front pocket too.
  13. LW, then the Rainier. Rainier select barrels are rebranded BHW barrels, but they are 100x easier to get in contact with and deal with. They also have an excellent return policy. I believe LW barrels come with a matched bolt??? FYI. Every once in a while Fulton Armory puts out a 16" rifle length Criterion barrel. A few if the guys here have that barrel. I kick myself every time I miss them.
  14. I have this super awesome BAE Eclipse RBAV-SF in khaki that is too big for me. It holds XL plates and BALCS armor. SOMEBODY.... I'm not saying who.... says he wants it. We'll see if he comes through. My next PC will likely be the Mayflower-RC LPAC. No permanent attached gear. I'll add a Grey Ghost Assault Pack and a HSP D3 chest rig when I need them. All Kryptek.... of course.
  15. Check it out HERE
  16. They have a LOT of holsters on hand. If they have it, you'll get the holster in a few days. If they have to make it from scratch, they ask you be patient for up to 5 weeks. I don't think I've ever waited that long. The only one I special ordered was for my TRP Operator, due to the full length rail. I still only waited 3 or 4 weeks. The Derringer, Double Mag holder and Glock G17 were all immediate.
  17. Give me a few weeks for delivery. I just ordered one for the P938.
  18. It's a cheap Eagle nylon holster. I think I scored it as an extra in a gun deal. It was so simple and slim that I never stopped using it.
  19. Hahaha. You're not in trouble brother... you're initiated. Lol
  20. PS. I'm 5'10" 185# and none of these print through a button up shirt.
  21. Here's some of mine. This is my EDC. All my leather (including the belt) is made by Bob Mernickle, in the mahogany red/brown color. 2:00/IWB = Walther PPK/s .380 4:00/OWB = Springfield TRP Operator .45ACP 8:00 = Dual 1911 mags. CMC Power+ 10 10:00/OWB = Maverick .357Mag Derringer (Xdraw)
  22. Last time I passed through PHX, I was headed up hill on 17 to Flagstaff, and I had to stop in Anthem to top off the tank... Now that is an attractive little town. I'd live there and suffer the 30 min commute to town. Only 90 mins from Flagstaff at that point.
  23. Jump, welcome to the site.... 2nd post and you already activated "The Rule". That may be a record?
