  1. Next weekend, we should see some velocities on factory 88gr match ammo, and some load development testing results. I have my fingers crossed to see the data. If I can, I'll report back on it.
  2. Okay, I get that part of it now. But now I have a project...
  3. If DSG has no info on when that buffer will be available, then KAK has a great solution as well. The DSG-route is just $20 and shipping. The KAK buffer will run you around $55. Here's the KAK buffer: https://kakindustry.com/lr-308-carbine-buffer-heavy
  4. Hornady finally dropped their load data. https://static.hornady.media/site/hornady/files/load-data/22-arc-gas-gun.pdf Looks pretty good. This is what I started with: https://shootersreference.com/reloadingdata/22-advanced-rifle-cartridge/ EDIT: Hornady pumped out the bolt gun load data, too. This is NOT gas-gun data, be forewarned... https://static.hornady.media/site/hornady/files/load-data/22-arc-bolt-gun.pdf
  5. Perfect! Okay, you can convert that 3.7oz buffer to 5.15oz, and that's gonna be good enough. DSG Arms sells a cheap shorty buffer that's got a stainless steel body. It has regular steel weights in it. Take YOUR buffer weights now, because they're tungsten, and replace them into that DSG stainless-bodied buffer. The combo will give you 5.15oz, close enough for testing and operation, and it's around $20. Next, Sprinco Orange spring. That's the spring you need, and the only one on the market that's made specifically for .308s with AR-15 carbine receiver extensions, running shorty 2.500" buffers. Here's the buffer you'll need from DSG Arms - it's out of stock at the moment, but calling them might give you an idea of when they might become available again... :https://dsgarms.com/product/lower-receiver-parts-dsg-4201-0021/
  6. Not sure what I'm missing here, but did this guy NOT take apart a Mav 88 and fix it back up? Am I crazy here? Is his video wrong? Someone that already know better here in this thread tell me that this guy is completely wrong, he didn't really take that Mav88 apart, and then configure it like he did in his video - that I just watched.... I'm waiting... Here's the vid again - WHAT am I missing?!
  7. Please tell me how you guys are explaining that there's a 20" barrel with a longer mag tube on it, FOR the Mav 88, and why I can't cut that 20" barrel down to 18.5". PLEASE explain that specific part of what I'm trying to get across here. Am I the dumbass, and that's completely impossible? I can't cut a barrel from 20" to 18.5"?!!? Get to that exact point, already, and tell me that's UNPOSSIBLE. Can't be done. No WAY, no how, you can't do that.
  8. One day, I hope he does the separation. The get-away. Dave Draiman, then Disturbed. Aaron Lewis, when he does his own thing, away from Staind. Just like that.
  9. Disturbed is - just Disturbed. Dave Draiman, though. You can't chain that guy up, he'll just get away.
  10. Dave Draiman is just a FUCKING POWERHOUSE, brother. Everything he sings is fucking GOLD. True badass.

    300 Win Mag

Fukkin' Instigator. He woke up a thread that was dead for 7 months, just to bring up a Road Runner... And TAUNT the Canadian, AGAIN!...
  14. You ARE the Way Back Machine, brother...
  15. Need mpre info on this stuff. First and foremost, measure the internal depth of that extension. PSA fuks that up often. It should be 7.000" internal depth, but don't be surprised if it's more than that - that's how they roll. Your 3.7oz buffer is 2.500 long, it has an aluminum body, and 2 tungsten insert (weights) in it. That's how they do it. The spring will be shiit. Get the info back on that stuff, and that gives me the data to fix the recoil system. After that, we may be looking at the gas port diameter that it SHOULD have - PSA isn't famous for gas port diameters, either - DC Machine makes all their barrels (PSA owns DC Machine). DC Machine does what they're told to do. It's fixable, no matter what.
  16. Didn't know him, but similar circumstance for me. I knew when my last jump was, when I knew that my NEXT duty station was gonna be my last, and I'd say "Fuk THIS!" and throw smoke...full 2 days before I was signing out, there was a unit jump scheduled. I got on as the first jumper, door, full Combat Equipment including exposed M4A1 rigged. Go Big or Go Home, Train Like You Fight. I rarely did "Hollywood Jumps," just a slick chute, no gear. That's not training. That's "collecting jumps." Jump it like you would, for real, or it's not training. I had 88 static line jumps at the end of it all, 55 of those were Combat Equipment jumps. Talk about it or Be about it... Lead by example. The Jumpmaster of that stick was one of my students, that I'd trained years prior. Had the girlfriend on the DZ with my son, right at the DZSO control point. I got out of the aircraft, and flew damn near right to the Parachute Turn-In Point, flew that rig like a champ. Got a bunch of pics of it all, me in the air for the last time, including the landing, and walking all the gear up to the turn in point. Great memory for me. That's the best thing you can do with your clothes on. I knew, a few days later, when I signed out of the unit... That was my last jump unit. I knew I wasn't gonna like the new assignment, and I was right. Fuk Big Army, and all their bullshiit. I pulled the plug on their nonsense, for my own freedom.
  17. So, get the 20" barrel, with the longer mag tube on it, and shorten the barrel to 18.5".
  18. HELL YEAH!!!
  19. Shotgun-legal barrels need to be 18.5", anything under is classified "SBS" - Short-Barreled Shotgun. Take that 20" kit with the extended tube, lop off exactly 1.5" of it, make it an 18.5" barrel with an extended tube. Chamfer it inner and outer, deburr it, cerakote it, done. I'm not seeing how this is impossible, here. And completely legal. It's not like it was a choked barrel, and you cut the choke threading out of the end of it. I'm not seeing the issue, apparently. Maybe I'm different.
  20. AWESOME info, Nate!!! I think you're correct with what's going on speed-wise, with the different projo weights. Your Accurate 1680 load is pretty much the same charge weight (and powder) that I use for my 150gr .300BLK loads...
  21. Lovin' it, brother! Nice find!
  22. That means they had to narrow the width of the shell lifter at the front, all the way back to beyond 1 3/4" from the rear of it. I'd like to check out one of the new ones and see if that's the deal. Gotta be the case. I'll get Gun Pusher John to get one on order - he'll sell it, no worries, but I wanna check one out and see what's up. EDIT - This also means you could pick up the new shell lifter, and install it in an older gun. I'm on this one...
  23. The Aguila MiniShells are reduced loads, just by their nature, at 1 3/4" long. They make 4 Buck and 1 Buck. I think they still make birdshot and 1oz slugs (they used to, I still have some). Federal also makes the shorties, in 4 Buck, No. 8 Shot, and 1oz rifled slugs. If you run them in a Mossberg pump, you will HAVE to have the OpSol mini-clip adapter. https://opsolmini-clip.com/

    M4-22 fun

Alot of people don't know about that one, and only think of Tippmann for paintball guns. They make a truly badass 22LR AR. Great purchase, man, awesome.
