  1. I'm just gonna get this out of the way right now, because there's gonna be some bitching from (insert name here). @Magwa cold-bored the 2k. More impressive than that, he backed it up on his second shot, and hit the 2k AGAIN, 4" away from his first impact. There's only ONE OTHER GUY that cold-bored a long distance shot this weekend. The Mile. Then, he backed it up and hit his second shot... I'm just sayin'... Just TWO DUDES that went back-to-back on cold-bores, on distance. 2 hits, 2 shots. That's 100% effective, for the record...
  2. @Cunuckgaucho, @Armed Eye Doc, @Magwa, @JBMatt, @Matt.Cross, @Camotruck, @shooterrex - and anyone else I didn't tag - post your AAR pics and info in here, for public info...
  3. Smaller, Epic, Better. I'm gonna open up with the most EPIC FUKCING MOMENT of the weekend. @Magwa, first shot of the morning on the 2k, cold gun, first round, perfect impact. He followed that up, with a second one, 4" away - at 2,000 yards - and the pics will come out. Enjoy... The only other thing I'm gonna say right now is this... @Armed Eye Doc brought more gifts this year, in the form of beer coozies. And they're badass. Look close at the first pic, compared to the second pic, and it'll tell you the story. @Matt.Cross is the designated story-teller for the full beans on the whole Long Distance deal, and he'll get to it soon...
  4. I live by that mantra, brother. Really do.
  5. There's a way to do that, and I've done it, militarily, several times. There's a way to deliver that exact message, and not get in trouble doing it. The delivery is key, word choice is paramount, and it all works out. Just fine. Once told a brand new Detachment Commander that he was the worst Commissioned Officer that I'd ever been forced to work with in my life - about one day into his command... Private meeting, me, that shiitbag, and my Warrant Officer. My Warrant kicked the fukc out my leg, under the table, when I let that one rip... Took us about 10 months to get that motherfucker relieved...
  6. Same here - love it... LMAO Spare parts turn into full guns. QUICK!
  7. What kind of matches are you shooting, man? Sounds great - like what we shoot out here in AZ. Accurized AR Match. Love it.
  8. Provide pics of that, the finished work, and we'll definitely incorporate that into the process. That would be badass, with pics of the finished product.
  9. With that particular gun - and the original Bushmaster BAR-10 that is it's parent... You are out of luck for just swapping out a lower receiver. The receivers on those two guns - BAR-10 and LAR-8, are longer than both the DPMS LR-308 pattern and Armalite AR-10 pattern. There isn't any other lower receiver that will pin up to that upper you have, just because of that.
  10. If you need to work at it, put work in, just to analyze people, then you're just a dickhead. If it's just something you're born with, and you can tell right away if someone's just a dickhead - that's a gift... There's a big difference...
  11. Brandon Herrera for Director of the BATFE...
  12. NOW, I see what you said, @Albroswift - the VLTOR A5 buffer is 4.000" long... and yes, you CANNOT use that in a Large Frame AR build. You'll need a buffer that 5.4 oz, and 3.250" long. Luckily, those are easy to come by, because they're just AR15 H3 buffers...
  13. You can use the VLTOR A5 receiver extensions, perfectly. I have them on half my Large Frame builds, and I buy the blems from them for cheaper. They're perfect. 7 5/8" internal depth is the real number. 7 11/16" internal depth is some mish-mosh from someone trying to sell parts.
  14. Sprinco RED spring is the equivalent of the Armalite EA1095 spring. The Sprinco ORANGE spring is what you need for running 7.000 internal depth AR15 Carbine Receiver Extensions with the shorty 2.500" buffers. 7 5/8" internal depth carbine receiver extension, AR15 Carbine H3 buffer that weighs 5.4 oz and is 3.250" long, and the Armalite EA1095 spring, or the Sprinco RED spring. That's the setup for a proper recoil system in most Large Frame ARs of common caliber. Gas system comes next, after that is solved. Truth ^^^^. After solving the recoil system, you solve the gas system. Those two systems are independent, but must work together... Solve recoil first, get it straight, and the rest is easy.
  15. Through the years here, take a look at the dickheads I've butted heads with. Take a real look at it. This is going back to 2010, here, literally. I've finally found a real explanation for this...
  16. Another outlook, from another source. Brilliant.
  17. If you actually surrendered one of these, here's how you get it back.
  18. For me, in my military lifetime from late '85 to early '07, the Rooftop Koreans in '92 are just as famous as the Rangers in Hilltop, Tacoma, in 1989.
  19. Good perspective.
  20. 7th ID (Light) from Fort Ord, CA, deployed to the '92 LA Riots, for "civil compliance." I left there at the end of 1991, and I was severely pissed off that I missed it.
  21. The "Rooftop Koreans" were legendary, when that went down. They decided - they're not fukcing around with these rioting bastards. And they didn't.
  22. I figured, right away, that is was a Korean owned shop with roots in the '92 LA Riots...
  23. I miss these...
  24. Gorillas Rule. Period.
