Truth. True Story here - I ran a .mil leadership school from late 2004 to early 2006. I had a student driving a pretty hot new Camaro from his home station in NC out to the school in AZ. When he was on open road I-10 somewhere in New Mexico, he let that thing RIP! He was doing 150mph+ for several miles, AND HIS ON-STAR TOLD HIM TO SLOW DOWN, OR THEY WOULD HAVE TO NOTIFY LAW ENFORCEMENT... Happened. Fuk that technology. Tattle-Tale Big Brother Shiit. Nope. Not in this house...

^^^ Just for the record... MAYBE... In some other life... I'm just sayin'... I may, or may not, have been personally involved, either personally or recreationally, with a complete Shiit-Show of a woman like that. Maybe. I don't recall the exact details of that relationship, exactly. In my past. I can't confirm any of that...

Love this one, right here - blows ALL THE BULLSHIIT up!!!
-
Also - smart phone shiit... Just because you - YOU - turn your phone off... That doesn't mean that someone else can't turn on the speaker - yes, even "powered down" - or the camera, or the video, or the GPS... You just powered it down, but those devices on a smart phone can still be activated... trust me or not on that one... I'm just sayin'... Same thing with smart TVs... Look it up... My toaster talked to me once. It got the 45-70.

I'd shut the work device off - completely - when clocking out. Wouldn't turn it on, until clocked in. Unless on call, like Eric stated, but I'd set a way up for that. Work has a call center or something, right? Just send me a text on my personal number, to turn my work phone on. I don't need a work smart phone tracking a single thing that I do, at all, ever, unless it's 100% work related. I'd Never, ever use a personal phone for work. Hell, even in the Army - they issued Blackberry devices, but those weren't modern smart phones. I don't need work accessing anything that's personal. I don't have a reason to hide anything - they just have no reason to know that much about me. Period. If there's a reason that work would require a smart phone - then pony up and provide it, and provide the service then. I'll use your device for what you require for work. Done. Watch this, brother...

Oh, by the way... HAPPY BIRFDAY, @JBMatt!!!

My big revelation for the weekend was seeing a 14.5" 5.56 Carbine running first-round impacts at 450 and 600 yards. WITH A RED DOT. 75gr loads were going 2703fps out of that thing. From a 14.5"!!! It was a spectacle to see, that's for damn sure. That 2k was a motherfucker. Well, the wind was. I hope it's not like that in a couple weeks, because that was rough. It wasn't frustrating - it was eye-opening, with all that wind in so many different directions. I was spotting most of it, seeing wind coming at us from the target streamers - good, don't have to account for that. However, somewhere between the platform, and the target, the mirage was straight horizontal. You know that's 10mph. Then it would disappear - that's the FUK YOU! wind... north of 12mph. Then it would come right back, flat waves... It was nuts. But great! On the plus side of all that... 2,250 yards is plotted out. We have the location.

It damn sure would have made my life easier. I will not disagree with you on this, Doc...

I've talked about it before here. I'm 10 feet tall, 3 rows of teeth, two coats of hair, and I'm Bulletproof. I won't be beaten. Ever. I'm beyond that. It's mentality. I've done the hardest shiit that I could possibly inflict upon myself, on purpose, just to find a limit that I've both found, and will never find. I grow every single day, some way, and find a new way to do better. The only thing that will ever stop me - is me. You can't stop me. You can only hope to contain me. If you want to become unbeatable, then that's all inside your mind. And your heart. It's more heart, than anything else, but the mind has to be strong in the first place. I found this tonight, and it spells it all out. Watch this vid. It's worth your time.

Hey, if that's what they "require," then that's something that they have to provide to you - to work. It's that simple. They can't make you spend your own money on a cell plan for a smart phone, just to accomplish a job that they require you to do. Does that make sense, brother, or not make sense? You don't have to tie your personal information on/to a cell system that's required for work - TIED TO YOU. And YOUR information. I hope I'm getting through on that subject.
-
NOBODY requires you to have a personal smart phone, to work. Nobody. Anywhere.
-
Find a way around it, brother - there is ALWAYS a way around that shiit...
-
Right on, brother. I think we have some work to do, so we might be out there into the early afternoon. Ish. Get ahold of me, text most reliable out there if I see it. We;re doing work, and you are more than welcome with the crazy work you're doing...

I'm pushing for more distance next weekend, at least 2,200 yards. We will see if I can sway him, and get him to walk just a little bit further up that hill...

Your "smart TV" will fuk you over, too. Fuk those things, just buy a cheap modern LCD TV or something similar. I don't need my TV telling me my favorite channels, or predicting what I wanna watch, or turning on when I walk in a room. I guarantee you that fukker is turning on it's active listening BS, when someone hacks it, and you think "it's off..." Check the info out there on this tech. It's real. Don't invite that invasion into your own home, for a simple "convenience" that you think it might offer you. Do it the hard way - the old way was getting your ass out of the recliner, going over there, and turning a fukkin' dial to change the channel. I grew up that way. If you switch channels on your TV by pulling up the app on your smart phone - don't be surprised when your data is spread all over the planet. It shouldn't shock you, because you bought into all that tech shiit.
-
Once again, that's Smart Phone shiit, and you fuqrs that want to think you're serious about ComSec... Buy a fuqn flip phone, dumb phone. How many times I gotta tell you guys this shiit already?... Get the all-listening computer away from your ear, and mouth. Ditch the fukkin' smart phones...

So, Nate... 😍 What are you doing THIS weekend?... @BigNate - we'll be out at the SDTF on Saturday and Sunday... I'm just sayin'...

Best thing to do is start in the Intro Section, and tell us about yourself... It's right here: https://forum.308ar.com/forum/22-introductions/

0.300" is a pretty giant mistake, for a gas tube length. That's a third of an inch, and no small mistake by any means. Nobody has ever used a rifle length gas tube, on that measurement. For someone showing up here and "setting a record straight" - setting us all straight on gas tube lengths -that's a major fuk-up. And, it's a reason for me to question anything that @Censored_germ ever states for fact in the future. But, that's just my $0.02 on it. Whatever that's worth.
-
This is not a rifle length gas tube that I've ever seen used before. Ever. By any barrel manufacturer. Ever.

No alternatives, really, nothing to brainstorm. Cash is king. Can't electronically track that purchase. As far as I know, there is no other way to do that, avoid the electronic leash and tracking, unless paying cash. DSG Arms accepts bit-coin. They are a LEGIT vendor. That might be your only way - but I'd be wary of other vendors that take bit-coin. Make sure they're proven first, because there are a bunch of fraud sites out there, that will take your money, screw you, and you are straight out of luck. Fucked.
-
^^^ You can teach any chick to whiskey-throttle a bike for a minute, to get a pic. That's one badass cat. That gas tank has my ex-wife's last name on it.

Headed out next weekend, to shake out @JBMatt's final load on his .300 Win Mag. Wish us luck - that we don't suck! It's already in the bag - it'll just be better. Less dial, less effort, less... everything. The dope is already there, proven, so this is gonna be MORE FUN!!!
