D.R.D. Posted January 22, 2015 Report Posted January 22, 2015 Anyone know anything about this? http://www.rivermangunworks.com/#!mbr/ciqi How might and interchangeable barrel like that work? Where's the gas block and tube? Seems like a great idea if you wanted to switch to 6.5 Creedmoor, or something of similar size. That way, all you'd need is a second barrel. Hmmm...there's got to be a catch, no?
DNP Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 You heard her say "bolt action"? Bo gas system on that gun. You cycle it, just like a bolt gun.
planeflyer21 Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 Reckon I'll have to check me out one of them thar Bo-gas guns. You heard her say "bolt action"? Bo gas system on that gun. You cycle it, just like a bolt gun.
DNP Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 Siri just coined the term for me. It's short for Bolt-gas. No gas....
planeflyer21 Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 Hunh. With you Siri teaches you new and cool slang language. With me it's constantly "I' sorry. I don't understand. We should spend some time apart and see other electronics."
blue109 Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 on these nifty systems, does the barrel return to zero every time? could you just use a dope chart for caliber changes or do you need to re zero every time?
planeflyer21 Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 The claim is it returns to a perfect zero, everytime, at 40#s of torque.
D.R.D. Posted January 23, 2015 Author Report Posted January 23, 2015 Noted. I swore I saw a interchangeable gas gun on one of the forums reviewing this year's shot show releases.
DNP Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 They are out there. I swear I have seen that too. Just not this one. They took the easy route.
392heminut Posted January 24, 2015 Report Posted January 24, 2015 Here you go; https://www.mgi-military.com/store/index.php?product_id=38&type=&category=19
D.R.D. Posted January 24, 2015 Author Report Posted January 24, 2015 That's very cool. I still don't understand how you change the barrel with the gas tube n'all. Plus, the one I saw was a .308, I'm sure of it!
