Bad Wolf
Recently I had ankle surgery and while moving some guns around I tripped and dropped a gun from about 3 feet up. No sure exactly how it landed but now I'm worried about the optics. Luckily its a Vortex Viper PST so if it is damaged they will take care of it. Should I be worried? AngelDeVille
Shoot it and see if it kept zero. If it did, add another foot to each drop until it doesn't.

Microgunner
I've always worried whenever I've dropped one. Unless it has a big dent in it you won't know until you try to zero it.
bubbasks
Yank it off and check that the tube is still straight then get er zeroed and keeps zero. It will be obvious when your POI jumps over from shot to shot. Ask me how i know... lol
Bad Wolf
Yeah there is no apparent damage, but it has just been one of those days. I don't believe there is any damage and I would hope its a better product than that, but there is no way to tell. Zebra644
It should be okay, if not send it in, Vortex has a hell of a warranty.
wetncold
My Ruger with a Leupold scope was run over by a 4X4 Chevy. Still shoots under MOA.
survivalshop
I had a friend drop my Nikon equipped Slug gun from a tree stand , about fifteen feet & it was a hair off when re-sighting & still use the scope . He was half asleep & late to go out & grabbed mine instead of his . I can't believe he even told me about it , I was out already , hunting with my 44 Mag.Handgun . Bad Wolf
It was either drop my gun or save my 22 month old. She crept up behind me and when I turned around I tripped on her, so gun or daughter.

Bad Wolf
Good to hear and congratulations, but haven't you figured out what's causing those kids yet? Thanks, I think it has something to do with the air to fuel mixture. We haven't got it down yet. But is sure is fun to practice.
