wetncold Posted April 19, 2015 Report Share Posted April 19, 2015 So, I wanted to put a tube type handguard on my SRC. Since this stands for Sight Ready CARBINE, I ordered a carbine length tube. Only problem is it is 2-3 inches short. So I have been perusing mid length handguards. There are a thousand for AR-15, and only carbon fiber for 308. And they are higher than giraffe ears. I am looking for a round, knurled 9" handguard, non vented and not rubber covered. Are they even made? Rifle and carbine I can find. But the mid length is hiding from me. DPMS pattern is what I need. PSAPA10 Posted April 22, 2015 Report Share Posted April 22, 2015 Not to highjack this topic here, but while we are on the topic of compatible handguards, Palmetto State is lately offering more of their .308 uppers without handguards. http://tinyurl.com/mmhrvym I am looking at their rifle length 20" upper without handguards and they just started offering their 18" Mid upper without handguards as well. So any further sources and options for 16" carbine/mid, 18" mid, and 20" rifle length guards is appreciated.
