I love the no price gouging rule

I've been watching the up and down price on guns, reloading components and especially .22 ammo.  I'm proud to be a small part of a forum that bans price gouging.  These lowlife, mouth breathing neck beards that purchase .22 ammo at .04 to .06 cents a round and sell it at .16 cents a round frost my butt.   When this all started with the crooked election of Obama I had just purchased one of those plastic ammo boxes of 1600 rounds of CCI round points and my son and his buddies got started dipping into it pretty quickly. I had to put the kibosh on that and slow them down right quick.  I banned the use of semi auto for bolt action shooting at my front yard range and kid training area.  Around that time one of my neighbors died and his English wife decided to move back to England and had an auction of all his guns and ammo.  She thought he only had about 4 guns but when they started looking they found out he had 30 or 40 guns and over 30 bricks of .22 LR ammo.  During the auction the price per brick got up to $84 a brick and when the auctioneer asked him how many he wanted at that price, he said all of them.  Now he couldn't have been purchasing that much to gouge but it was a sad commentary on the conditions of ammo sales at the time.  Two weeks later I was able to purchase 3, 525 bricks of .22 LR for  .04 cents a round at $22 a box at Walmart.  Of course I couldn't find any again at Walmart for for about a year.  I've now worked up my supply enough to last me for quite a while or at least enough for my son and his buddies to keep the gongs dinging a bunch. I just wish I could find .22 short for a reasonable price.

Yes sir, ridurall,

their crap hasn't trickled down here, except for the perceived shortage of ammo and the ridicules  prices. but it can't be too far away including therecent  land -grabbing activities up on the South side of the Red River, that really got my hackles up.

"A Fundamental changing of  America" may require a "Fundamental Hard Fought  Revolution"  of the Patriots to get the U.S. of A.  back on track if elections keep on being stolen.  I don't think an old codger like myself will live long enough to have too much to worry about.  However, I do have offspring and a bunch of grandkids that will need to have some basic knowledge of revolutionary skills, that is if they ever get their thumbs to co-orporate doing something except TEXTING, and playing video games.

Mack, start them off right.  Have them watch this - pick it up, and watch it with them on a weekend when they visit.  You, and they, won't be disappointed.

Right after that viewing, schedule them for an Appleseed Shoot.  Find one local, make the time, get them all signed up, and go with them.  You will be impressed by the program, brother, I guarantee you that - or I'll reimburse your registration fee for you.  <thumbsup>

98Z5V,    Thanks for the information on The Appleseed Project. To be honest I had never heard of it. It sounds like a very worthwhile project. I found they have a very active presence in Texas, and their meets are very reasonable in price. A big choice of a 1, 2, or 3 day Boot Camp.  All four of my children, 2 boys and 2 girls were all members of our 4-H shooting club growing up and we have a new 4-H rifle club that just started two years ago here in Comanche County.  I will be sure and see that the leaders get the information on The Appleseed Project here in Texas. The Instructors as well as the kids would really benefit from attending a session.

The Appleseed schedule for Texas:

By the way "Sons of Liberty " is available as streaming video from Amazon  FREE for Amazon Prime members, check it out. I play it to my T.V. from my Kindle Fire HD with a cord. I don't have internet on my T.V. or I could play it on just the T.V.
