308AR Piston Driven Builds?

Recommended Posts

What? To build one? Or just are there 308 piston rifles? Because, yes they're out there. But only a small number of manufacture's. POF, PWS, LWRCI and Sig (I think). Needless to say, I don't believe that these guys offer up their parts very easily.

BUT........I could always be wrong. It's happened plenty of times.

Someone recently wondered what's wrong with piston guns. THAT is what's wrong with piston guns in general. When they decide on a standard, and I can get small parts from the local gun stores little parts box or swap parts between guns, I'll look into it. Hard enough to try and keep these 308s using common parts.

LOL, I hate those kinda guys... ;-)

It's funny you mention that, cause I have a LWRC M6A2, and was just chatting about the merits of the piston driven design with a nay sayer.

What a coinkadink.

I have never had any issues with that gun, and I gather from being on their forum that getting parts is not an issue... expensive, but available, but I will investigate it further and report back.

Would be cool to build a 308AR piston gun some day!
