planeflyer21
Target also sells tubes. But why buy new tubes? Any local bike shop should have plenty of tossed tubes they will give you.
survivalshop
I may just do the Stocks on my NEF 45-70 , the Bluing looks too good , its a brand new rifle , I've had it for over fifteen years in the box, the Black syn. stocks , I really don't care , the paint will be easy to remove from them, if I don't like it .( or I screw it up , lol ) I think I will start with Gray , as a base coat . What you guys think ? Edited September 17, 2015 by survivalshop

What you guys think ?black stock? Why not start with the black? I was thinking about banding mine before I painted it but then I remembered the bluing is garbage and that was 1/2 the reason for painting it. But yea if your going for darker I would go dark light then back to your dark.
survivalshop
I was thinking because I would be in a tree stand 50 % of the time , I would want some light parts of it , like gray, but keeping the Black on the stock for a base would probably work . I will do half my test stock in Gray Base & the other leave it Black & see how it comes out .
