Just in case anyone wants a close look at Dave's new lightweight BCG thought I'd post some close-ups. Never seen an arrow on the cam pin before, I did recently see an odd shaped cam pin head on a 308 BCG, maybe it was another way to identify a direction of installation. I broke the retainer pin tip when I put it back together, not sure I like this style of pin over the cotter pin that has worked well for decades ( Dave is sending replacement, style of my choice).

That looks pretty damn nice. I broke an ear off the pin in the last BCG I got that had one of those. It was likely operator error as I had never used one before and might have applied a little too much force putting back in the first time. I'll stick with the cotter pins.
