joao01
Take a look at the Mega Arms SF-MATEN. Should be out before you're ready to buy. I personally plan to get a SCAR 17 instead (since they start getting similar in price point) but the MEGA is looking to be a quality small frame 308. http://www.megaarms.com/sf-maten/

I don't own one but I've shot one (one of the other brothers on the forum here owns one) and they're nothing but quality. -Seekins. I, personally haven't handled any of their large frame AR equipment. Though I've built a couple rifles using their smaller frame (AR-15) lowers and parts. -Wilson Combat is known for their quality in weapons in general. But again, I haven't handled any of their 308 platform AR's. -Armalite. Well, being that I'm the "Armalite pusher" around here, I would tend to be a little biased in their direction. I've got one SASS that I absolutely love, and another that's waiting to be built (when I finally get the time). -JP. I've heard nothing but good stuff about them, but we're back to me not personally handling any of them. -Georgia precision. I've never heard a bad comment made about any of the rifles that they make. They make just about all of their stuff for extreme precision. Once again, never had a chance top play with any of their stuff though. This is the AR-10 B SSASS, outfitted with a Nightforce Optic and an AAC suppressor. I've since swapped out the UBR stock for a PRS stock. unforgiven
I am a fan of Rock River LAR8 and Aero Precision M5 have them both. That being said Armalite has good value for the product. I have shot the LaRue and it is a damn nice rifle. I like LaRue's other product's as well. I have their grips and trigger.
Cowtown
I have a Seekins SP10 16" barrel. Very nice quality there, good value for your dollar if you want precision. And it is a tack-driving machine. A little heavy with a UBR (by feel, have not weighed). I like it much though. Glen Seekins' boys know how to run a CNC fo sho! biozzcx
I have both DPMS 18" bull barrel/DIY modified single stage trigger, and Rock River LAR8 Predator 20" cryogenically treated barrel/RR 2-stage trigger. They are both very accurate at sub MOA levels. LAR8 is little more accurate and forgiving with different ammo. DPMS's receivers and bolt/carrier is lighter than Rock River's. Don't overlook DPMS brand just because it is generally less expensive. Edited August 15, 2016 by biozzcx
