I'm putting together parts for  a 300 BO pistol build and am curious if anyone here is running a JP silent capture spring or a Tubbs flat wire spring and what their thoughts on them are? I want to make this pistol as quiet as possible, hate to spend the money on the JP if the Tubbs spring will be comparable.

I don't think you will hear a thing with the Tubb's flat wire spring . That JP SCS is $$ , compared to the Tubb's .

I'm going to try this , Read the instructions , many ways to tune it & reads it may have issues with sub sonic's with 300BLK. Brownels has it in stock .

SUPER 42 BRAIDED WIRE BUFFER SPRING AND BUFFER COMBO

FULL DESCRIPTION

The Geissele Super 42 Spring was designed to improve the function and reliability of your AR-15 pattern rifle. Its unique spring design uses three independent strands of wire, just like the German MG42 Machine Gun. This concept acts as a harmonic damper and energy absorber by allowing the springs to flex separately from each other. This flex helps displace excess energy which decreases the chance of spring failure and assists with making your AR-15 more reliable.

Compared to the stock spring, The Geissele Super 42 Spring has a decreased tendency to lose length and force over a given round count. As an added bonus, it removes the annoying spring reverberations (twang) heard and felt by the shooter through the buttstock. The Super 42 Spring has a 15% stronger average return force than the standard buffer spring. This will assist in stripping rounds out of the magazine when operating with a dirty weapon or when using steel-case ammo.

I'd like to see a test video similar to the one on the Tubbs site. I would think the wound wire would help with the vibrations, now I may have to get one of each to see for myself. Looks like I can get both for the price of the JP SCP and nothing wrong with extra parts:thumbup:

You know what happens when you have extra parts laying around .:laffs:

It sure makes a difference when installing the Tubb's spring in my Carbine 308AR compared to the Rifle Extension. I never tried the AR 15 Tubb's Spring , but I'm sure it would be the same fight to get it in the Carbine Extension.
